Contributed by Dr.w.samuel Legon on Jun 5, 2010 (message contributor)
Summary: Judgement is comming we must warn people.
(7) Things to beware of
Mark 8:15 And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod.
FORGETTING GOD.
Deuteronomy 6:12 Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
Deuteronomy 8:.11 Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:
*Many times we forget God in our lives
*We fail to let him lead us
*We fail to keep his commandments
*We fail to heed his voice
PROVOKING GOD
Exodus 23:20 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
21 Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.
Israel failed to heed God and they provoked him
They have paid a big price for many years
They are still paying today
FORGETTING THE POOR
Deuteronomy 15:9 Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the LORD against thee, and it be sin unto thee.
Don’t forget those who are in need
The Lord wants us to help needed people
Our love is spread through helping others
FALSE DOCTRINES
Matthew 16:6 Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.
8 Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?
9 Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
10 Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
11 How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?
12 Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
We can not serve God unless we have sound doctrine
We can’t change God ways to suit ourselves
We must do the will of him who saved us
FALSE PROPHETS
Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
One way to Heaven through the strait gate
Jesus set that way we must follow
Many trying to go other ways they want make it.
God has one way Jesus Christ
We are in the last days many false prophets teaching everything but Christ
COVETOUSNESS
Luke 12:15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
Divorce at all time high
Money being stolen from the poor
Thieves braking in homes Churches business
BACKSLIDING
2nd Peter 3:17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
2nd Tim.3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
This world is full of unholy works today
People are falling out of Church like leaves off a tree
We are in the times of the coming of the Lord
Christians are not going to be liked but we must take a stand
Don’t follow the world follow Jesus
You will be hated talked about accused abused hang on
