INTRODUCTION
Every year is a gift from God, intentionally designed to accomplish His purposes in your life. How you enter and navigate the year determines whether it will be marked by victory, joy, and testimonies or by missed opportunities and regrets. God declares each year as a season of favor, growth, and divine assignment.
Psalm 118:24 reminds us that every day, and indeed every year, is made by the Lord. Rejoicing in God’s provision and recognizing His sovereignty establishes a foundation for divine encounters and supernatural breakthroughs.
This message will guide you on how to walk in the consciousness that the year belongs to the Lord, how to position yourself to fully benefit from it, and how to rejoice in His faithfulness while expecting His blessings to manifest.
1. RECOGNIZE THE LORD AS THE MAKER OF THE YEAR
Understanding that God has made the year gives assurance and confidence to walk boldly in faith.
a) ACKNOWLEDGE GOD’S SOVEREIGNTY – Everything belongs to Him, including time and seasons (Daniel 4:35). Recognition brings peace.
b) UNDERSTAND THAT THIS YEAR IS DIVINELY APPOINTED – God has ordained events for your good (Ecclesiastes 3:1). Expect favor in every circumstance.
c) RECOGNIZE YOUR PARTICIPATION IN GOD’S PLAN – You are a co-laborer with God (1 Corinthians 3:9). Active engagement ensures blessing.
d) SEE EVERY DAY AS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR DIVINE ENCOUNTER – Every day carries the potential for miracles and breakthroughs (Psalm 65:11). Awareness fosters gratitude.
Biblical Example: Israel celebrated each Passover remembering God’s sovereignty and intervention, acknowledging His plan for their lives (Exodus 12:14-17).
2. ENTER THE YEAR WITH JOY AND EXPECTATION
Joy and expectation attract God’s favor and open doors of supernatural blessing.
a) REJOICE IN THE LORD’S FAITHFULNESS – Gratitude unlocks supernatural joy (Psalm 30:5). Joy amplifies faith.
b) EXPECT DIVINE SUPPLY AND PROVISION – God’s plans include abundance and success (Philippians 4:19). Expectation aligns with God’s promises.
c) CELEBRATE THE NEW SEASON SPIRITUALLY – Recognition through prayer and praise positions you for breakthrough (Psalm 100:4-5). Celebration reinforces faith.
d) TRUST GOD TO DIRECT YOUR STEPS – Confidence in His guidance removes fear and uncertainty (Proverbs 3:5-6). Trust promotes progress.
Biblical Example: Hannah’s rejoicing in God’s faithfulness led to the birth of Samuel and a legacy of divine favor (1 Samuel 1:27-28).
3. POSITION YOURSELF TO WALK IN THE BLESSINGS OF THE YEAR
Divine alignment and obedience are essential to experiencing the full benefit of God’s year.
a) COMMIT YOUR PLANS TO GOD – Submit goals and desires to His will (Proverbs 16:3). Commitment secures success.
b) MAINTAIN FAITHFULNESS AND OBEDIENCE – Steadfastness ensures consistent favor (Galatians 6:9). Obedience activates blessing.
c) SEEK GOD’S WISDOM AND STRATEGY – Wise counsel prevents setbacks (James 1:5). Strategy ensures fruitful results.
d) BE DISCIPLINED AND CONSISTENT IN SPIRITUAL PRACTICES – Prayer, fasting, and study strengthen positioning for breakthroughs (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Discipline sustains progress.
Biblical Example: Joseph’s obedience and faith positioned him to receive God’s favor, leading to promotion and divine assignment in Egypt (Genesis 41:41-43).
4. EXPECT DIVINE INTERVENTION AND SUPERNATURAL OUTCOMES
Walking in God’s year invites miracles, protection, and open doors.
a) BELIEVE GOD WILL SUPERVISE YOUR STEPS – Divine guidance ensures every step aligns with His plan (Psalm 37:23). Faith activates protection.
b) RECEIVE BREAKTHROUGHS AND FAVOR – Expect the supernatural in finance, health, and relationships (Isaiah 43:19). Expectation invites intervention.
c) DECLARE GOD’S PROMISES DAILY – Words of faith reinforce alignment with His will (Joshua 1:8). Confession strengthens spiritual authority.
d) PRAISE GOD FOR COMPLETION OF HIS PLAN – Worship attracts continued favor and supernatural multiplication (Psalm 100:4). Praise sustains momentum.
Biblical Example: David trusted God to lead him through battles and challenges, ultimately reigning as king and fulfilling God’s purpose for his life (2 Samuel 5:1-5).
CONCLUSION
This year belongs to the Lord, and your participation in it determines the level of breakthrough, favor, and testimony you experience. Recognize God as the Maker of the year, rejoice in His faithfulness, position yourself in obedience, and expect His supernatural intervention.
As you enter this season, do so with joy, expectation, and confidence, trusting that every day is a divine opportunity and that this year shall bring testimonies, blessings, and divine fulfillment in every area of your life.
