Where's Zebedee? Series

Summary: Zebedee, as many fathers today, missed out on the best things he could find by being satisfied with what was good.
Where’s Zebedee?
And straightway he [Jesus] called them:
and they left their father Zebedee in the ship
with the hired servants, and went after him.
Mark 1:20
Where was Zebedee’s wife?
Matthew 20:20; 27:56, “Then came to him the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping him…”
Where were Zebedee’s sons?
Matthew 4:21-22, “...they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.”
Where was Zebedee?
Mark 1:20, "...they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants..."
What did Zebedee miss?
He missed seeing Jesus
He missed hearing Christ
He never saw Christ doing miracles of mercy
He missed the cross
He missed seeing the empty grave
What he did may not seem wrong…
But he missed in his sense of telling the good from the best.
This life is more than making a living. It is making a life.
