5rs Of Youth Ministry

Vision motivates and moves a ministry forward.

Vision consumes a person’s waking hours and even at night.

Our vision can be summed up in 5 Rs:

REACH

We believe the streets and our schools are ready for the gospel. God’s light in us must shine in the darkness. We’re empowered to be witnesses (Acts 1:8).

We just had a conference and young people received a fresh passion for soul winning and a heart for the un-churched. We hear reports of souls getting saved in the streets and on campus even after the conference. More people are receiving the Jesus on weekdays than on weekends. That’s awesome! The Bible says, “And the Lord added to their numbers daily…” That’s our vision.

RETAIN

We’ll lose converts but partners who buy into the vision of the ministry will be retained. Geners must become shareholders and own Generations as their own. You have a part to play – Generations is your home and it is here that you’ll grow.

REPRODUCE

Jesus has commissioned us to make disciples not decisions. Though it’s wonderful when people walked down the aisles to receive Jesus, we want to see Geners’ lives changed into the likeness of Christ. We’re the only bibles the world will ever read. Geners must perfectly represent Jesus to a lost a dying world and discipleship is marked by the cross of Christ!

RAISE

All Christians can become leaders. In Generations, we seek to create a leadership culture where people are mentored and mobilized to serve their peers and fellow Geners. I believe everyone has influence and leaders are influencers. Generations can only grow in proportion to the number of leaders we have.

RELEASE

It’s more blessed to give than to receive. I envisioned a youth ministry where young people are trained and equipped to serve in different ministries and even in the nations! I see missionaries and ministers coming out from this ministry. In fact I’m asking God for a tithe of our number to be in full time service. That means if we’re 10000 strong, there’ll be 1000 serving God in the power of the Holy Spirit!
