Summary: Enemies abound plotting to frustrate God’s plan for your life but there is a decree that frustrates the tokens of liars and disappoints the devices of the crafty. There is a safe arrival for you, fear not.

TODAY IS YESTERDAY’S TOMORROW—5

“There shall not any man be able to stand before you all the days of your life” Joshua 1: 5.

Every man born of a woman is brought into a waiting warfare. The realization of a man’s tomorrow will not be without a challenge. It has always been since the beginning of the race of Adam.

It seems the enemy of man has a little prying into the destinies of most men—Sometimes by demonic permutations or unwitting volunteering of information by the man himself. The leakage of a little information about your tomorrow can set the enemy at work today and he will use another man, most of the time to try and frustrate it.

You wonder if Joseph had been a little lip-tight, he might not have gone through most of his pains.

The young man was always sharing his dreams. The enemy waited for him in his brothers. What could have happened if the women had not sung the praise of David when he killed Goliath? Maybe Saul would not have been pushed by envy to seek his elimination. What of the wise men at the birth of Jesus? May be Herod would have been ignorant of His birth. Or Paul when a damsel began to announce the presence of this great man of God?

“Why do the heathen rage and the people imagine a vain thing against the Lord and His anointed? Could it be because “the Lord has said, … ‘thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee” Ps. 2: 7. We reckon also that immediately Jesus was announced as the Son of God after His baptism the enemy was waiting for Him in the wilderness of temptation.

When the promises of God and the voice of approval and attestation come upon a man he must wait for a challenge from no less a person than the devil himself to discourage, confuse or distract him from becoming what God ordains him to be.

The devil will go ahead to use men. He has them in different shadows. Father Abraham nearly derailed because of his wife’s alternative. David had Saul. Moses had the children of Israel. Job had his wife and some friends. The young Prophet had the old Prophet. It became necessary that one of the assuring promises God gave Joshua to ensure his tomorrow was that NO MAN—big or small, friend or foe, demonic or ordinary—would be able to stand before him. In other words, “Joshua (whatever your name), no device of men, no tongue of men, no agenda or plans, no prophecy or dreams of men against you shall prosper. No imagination or wish of men against you shall come to pass”

Beloved of God, there is an enemy designed to monitor your future. There are men on earth who are likely to rejoice if they heard of your failure or mishap, but “thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph in Christ Jesus …” 2 Cor. 2: 14.

He has declared concerning you, “No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper and every tongue that rises up against you in judgment you shall condemn.” On your behalf, He has disappointed the devices of the crafty. Their hands cannot perform their enterprise against you. When men are cast down you will say I am lifted up. Is. 54: 17; Job 5: 12; Job 22: 29.

Your future is waiting spotlessly for you. Enter into it by the decree of the Holy one of Israel. “You are what you are by my mercy and not by political appointment “Joshua”. That’s why I will make sure that any man that imagines or plots evil against you is found a liar”’, thus saith the Lord. Men will celebrate your arrival! Amen. Shalom!
