Summary: SHORT OUTLINE ON ACTS 9:31 (5 MARKS OF THE IDEAL CHURCH)

TITLE, (5 MARKS OF THE IDEAL CHURCH)

FOUND IN ACTS 9:31 READ VERSE

TEXT. (ACTS 9:31) THEN THE CHURCHES THROUGHOUT ALL JUDEA,GAILILEE AND SAMARIA HAD PEACE AND WERE EDIFIED. AND WALKING IN THE FEAR OF THE LORD

AND WALKING IN THE FEAR OF THE LORD AND IN THE COMFORT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT,THEY WERE MULTIPLIED.

1.THE MARK OF HARMONY.

ACTS 9:31 SAY"S THEN HAD THE CHURCHES REST.

THE WORD "REST " LITERALLY MEANS HAROMONY OF CONCORD AND THIS I SUBMIT IS THE FIRST MARK OF THE IDEAL CHURCH.

ACTS 2:44 NOW ALL WHO BELIEVED WERE TOGETHER,AND HAD ALL THINGS COMMON.

ACTS 2:45 AND SOLD THEIR POSSESSIONS AND GOODS AND DIVIDED THEM AMONG ALL AS ANY ONE HAD NEED.

ACTS 2:46 SO CONTINUING DAILY WITH ONE ACCORD IN THE TEMPLE AND BREAKING BREAD FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE ,THEY ATE THEIR FOOD WITH GLADNESS AND SIMPLICITY OF HEART.

2.THE MARK OF GROWTH.

ACTS 9:31 SAY"S

THE CHURCHES WERE EDIFIED.

THE WORD EDIFIED, MEANS BUILT UP,STRENGTHENED,CONSOLIDATED.

SO WE MAY SAY THE SECOND MARK OF THE IDEAL CHURCH IS THAT THE MEMBERS ARE GROWING IN GRACE AND SPIRITUAL POWER AND BECOMING ESTABLISHED IN THE LORD AND HIS WORD.

3.THE MARK OF REVERENCE

ACTS 9:31 SAY"S WALKING IN THE FEAR OF THE LORD.

THE IDEAL CHURCH WILL DISPLAY HUMILITY AND REVERENCE AND GODLY FEAR.

4.THE MARK OF HOLY SPIRIT - CONTROLLED.

ACTS 9:31 WALKING IN THE COMFORT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

EPHESIANS 5:18 BE FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT.

5.THE MARK OF INCREASE.

ACTS 4:31 SAY"S AND WERE MULTIPLIED.

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

WHEN THERE IS LOVE AND CONCORD IN THE CHURCH WHEN MEMBERS ARE GROWING IN GRACE AND BECOMING MORE AND MORE LIKE JESUS. WHEN THEY ARE WALKING IN THE FEAR OF THE LORD AND IN THE COMFORT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. IS IT ANY WONDER THAT THE OUTSIDE WORLD IS REACHED AND MEN AND WOMEN ARE WON TO THE LORD. AMEN!! AMEN!!!

LETS TAKE TIME AND PRAY FOR THE IDEAL CHURCH, TODAY.
