Galatians 3 v 1 - 14 Faithful Father Abraham

The Folly

Their Deception - 1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you,

Their Dissension - that ye should not obey the truth,

Their Distraction - before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth,

Their Desertion - crucified among you?

The Faith

The Perception of Faith - 2 This only would I learn of you,

The Rejection of Faith - Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law

The Reception of Faith - or by the hearing of faith?

The Flaw -

Their Folly - 3 Are ye so foolish?

Their Faith - having begun in the Spirit,

Their Flesh - are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

The Failure

In Salvation - 4 Have ye suffered so many things in vain?

In Suffering - 4 Have ye suffered so many things

In Service - if it be yet in vain.

The Force

The Giver - 5 He therefore (God Himself)

The Gift - that ministereth to you the Spirit,

The Grace - and worketh miracles among you,

The Grounds - doeth he it by the works of the law,

The Guide - or by the hearing of faith?

The Fruit

God's Friend - 6 Even as Abraham

God's Fidelity - believed God,

God's Favour - and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

The Faithful

The Result - 7 Know ye therefore

The Requirement - that they which are of faith,

The Reward - the same are the children of Abraham.

The Foresight

The Word of God - 8 And the scripture,

The Work of God - foreseeing that God would justify the heathen

The Will of God - through faith,

The Way to God - preached before the gospel unto Abraham,

The World for God - saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

The Favour

The Fearful - 9 So then they which be of faith

Hebrews 11:7

The Means - By faith

The Man - Noah,

The Message - being warned of God of things not seen as yet,

The Motivation - moved with fear,

The Mission - prepared an ark to the saving of his house;

The Madness - by the which he condemned the world,

The Merit - and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

The Fruitful - are blessed

The Faithful - with faithful Abraham.

The Fallen

The Workers are Condemned by the Word -

10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse:

Their Works are Condemned in the Word - for it is written,

Their Ways are Condemned through the Word -

Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

Salvation is by Free Grace - Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Salvation is by Full Grace - 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Salvation is by Fertile Grace -

What we are - 10 For we are his workmanship,

Where we are - created in Christ Jesus unto good works,

Why we are - which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

The Fail

The Scope - 11 But that no man

The Scam - is justified by the law in the sight of God,

The Scorn - it is evident:

The Score - for, The just shall live by faith.

Habakkuk 2:4 -

The Pride - 4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up

The Price - is not upright in him:

The Prize - but the just shall live by his faith.

The Fight

The Challenge - 12 And the law

The Check - is not of faith:

The Choice - but, The man that doeth them

The Chain - shall live in them.

The Freedom

It's Personal - 13 Christ

It's Punctual - hath redeemed us

It's Powerful - from the curse of the law,

It's Practical - being made a curse for us: for it is written,

It's Prodigal - Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

The Fulfillment

The Result - 14 That the blessing of Abraham

The Reach - might come on the Gentiles

The Reason - through Jesus Christ;

The Reward - that we might receive the promise of the Spirit

The Response - through faith.
