Summary: The universe has many beautiful things, the grass is very greenery but withers quickly, and the flowers are attractive with multiple colors but fade by evening. But Word of God lasts forever.

Eternal Word – Psalm 119:89

The Lord is good and his love endures forever. I would like to place the following to support that the word of God is eternal because It’s a living Word, a Loving word, and stands forever.

1. Living Word

The universe has many beautiful things, the grass is very greenery but withers quickly, and the flowers are attractive with multiple colors but fade by evening. The beautiful mountains move, and the earth trembles and displace the meadows and valleys. The streams of the world dry up sooner or later.

But there is one thing in this world that is alive with an inexhaustible and inextinguishable light, and that is the Word of the Lord! This book is the only instrument that corruption cannot touch, whose validity cannot be removed, whose reality cannot deteriorate, and whose truth cannot get decay. Because it is the word of the Living God.

God is a living God (2 Corinthians 6:16), Jesus Christ is the Prince of Life (Acts 3:15), and the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of life. Therefore, the word of God is a living word. 1 Peter 1:23 says we have the new life from the Word of God which lives forever. According to Hebrews 4:12, the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Jesus said in John 6:63, the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. Because Jesus is the bread of Life (John 6:35).

2. Loving Word

The world is struggling with the people who talk about one thing and do another thing or nothing. But God is love and his words are love. People are fed up with pseudonymity, and hypocrites. But today, we can understand that God never changes himself with his words and deeds. God never speaks with deceptive words, deceiving words, flattering words, and words null and void.

Moses told even in the time old days to the Israelites that Jehovah was the Lord one who keeps the covenant of love (Deuteronomy 7:9). So, the prophet Jeremiah said that God has loved us with an everlasting love and with unfailing kindness (Jeremiah 31:3). When God passed before Moses, he heard the voice of God proclaiming the characteristics of God as “The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.’ (Exodus 34:6). At one point Jesus brought the Love of God and the word of God at the same stage.

1 Chronicles 16:34, ‘Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.’ Apostle John strongly states that God is love (1 John 4:8), so, no one can know God, or follow God without loving the person whom he sees on daily basis (1 John 4:16). That is possible only by reading the word of the Lord as per John 15:12-13, ‘My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. (John 5:9-10). Therefore, John emphasizes us to love the Word of God means to love God. (1 John 4:8). Loving each other is not possible unless we come to the Lord and walk by his word.

3. Lasting Word

John 1:1 ‘In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was at the beginning with God.’ Psalm 119:152 Established them to last forever, Isaiah 40:6-8 Word of God stands forever (1 Peter 1:25), the word of the Lord stands forever, Matthew 5:18 Word of God will not disappear, Matthew 24:35 My words will never pass away. Again and again, reaffirmed by Jesus that the word of God stands forever.
