Prayer For Sinners

by

Dr. Gale A. Ragan-Reid (July 26, 2014)

“And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them” (St. Luke 15:2, King James Version [Jesus with sinners]).

“Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much: but to little is forgiven, the same loveth little. And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven” (St. Luke 7:37-39, 8:44-48, KJV [sins forgiven]).

“And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there: And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage” (St. John 2:1-2, KJV [Marriage in Cana]).

Greetings In The Holy Name Of Jesus,

Father in your Holy Name please accept this prayer for sinners in relationships all around the world in general and in the United States of America (USA), in particular, for those on their way to holiness, for those in-between the steps, for those waiting for someone else, for those influenced by culture and tradition, for those captured, for those who confess, “I know my sins are many but I love the LORD God”. This is where you are told this is the story of a certain woman who loved much. The way the story goes this certain woman loved Jesus. In fact, the very same woman was a sinner.

More importantly, her sins were many for she loved much. Now, you must decide to embrace the evolution of culture and tradition to accept pre-marital relationships [Holy Bible calls fornication] and accept children born out of wedlock. However, those of you born in the 1950's and before, know it was not easy living life in a country that believed in God, the laws of God and the son of God, Christ Jesus.

You knew it was not easy in the USA to live a life of a wife---when you were not a wife. You knew it was not easy living a life of a mother---when you were not married to the father.

Nowadays, the evolution of culture and tradition changed and those born in the 1960's and after live a different sort of life in the land of the free and the home of the brave but the laws of God did not change and the laws of the land did not amend to total freedom of decision-making in relationships. God's word is constant; a sin is a sin and the wages of sin is death but God sent His son Jesus to fulfill the law for remission of sins---for nothing but the blood of Jesus could fulfill the law. It is a shame and a disgrace when the sins of a woman weigh heavier than the sins of a man in the eyes of those in the offense and in the public's eyes. It is a shame and a disgrace when the sins of a woman speak volumes to convict her heart in her eyes and the public's eyes and when the sins of a man hardly utter a word to convict his heart in his eyes and in the public's eyes. This status quo or state of affairs does not sit well with the women in the grand USA.

Yes, LORD, this is a time when women want to cry out to Jesus. They want to scream and shout to God about how their man treated them and tell God what their men said and tell God all about what their men did---denying their position as a bride of Christ Jesus. This is a typical prayer dialogue that you receive from us in heaven for we hear it daily on earth:

Heavenly Father, you know I cannot go long without relationships since

I started living a life of a sinner. I need you to take this desire from me. Let

me not need him even when he needs me and begs me. LORD, how will

I win my man. There are so many sinners in the land. Have mercy on me

LORD. I do not want to destroy my man for I do love him but I want

justice---I want him to make our relationship right.

The sinners say this prayer---all the time doubting the power of the blood of the lamb to heal them and raise them up to the status of holy righteous living and all the time denying Jesus died for the remission of their sins and gave them a right relationship. God is not a man that He should lie. He cannot lie to you. He will never heal you because you say you can do better to live a holy righteous life.

Our great God heals sins. Our great God forgives sins. Our great God does not remember sins. Do you forgive? Or, do you feel worthless incapable of forgiving---even yourself?
