Devotional
This is an open call to prayer and an assurance from Jesus Himself that when we go to God in His name, our prayer requests are answered. This does not mean every prayer is a must-answer because we use the name of Jesus.
However, it does mean that we ask in faith and by His will. Not everything we want is what God wants for us. As a statement of fact, there is no prayer God does not answer when we pray using the name of His dear Son, Jesus Christ our Lord and personal savior.
It is either God answers it at once or He says wait and the third answer is, not my will. So it is always important to pray by the will of the Father. The will of the Father is mostly associated with the needs of His children.
God does not answer all our wants but He does answer all our needs just as a true father would want to meet the needs of his children rather than what they want. Our wants often go against the will of the Father and in response, He would say wait or no, not my will.
To be on the safer side, always ask in prayer telling God about your needs rather than your wants. It is time for prayer, be willing to say a word of prayer today. Speak to Him about your marriage, finances, health, ministry, business, job, favour, directions, guidance, etc. These are the kind of prayers God would like to hear and answer.

All of our instruction, direction, strength, and success stem from a healthy prayer life – it is our duty as Christ's disciples to give ourselves to the high calling of prayer. Certainly, we are the losers if we do not avail ourselves of this great privilege.
Prayer: I want you to take a quick pause and pray for something right now. There is only one principle to this, which is you ask using the name of Jesus. Shalom Aleichem!
