When You Stand For God's Truth, You Are Labeled As Rude,hatred, And Mean Series

In today's society, those who stand for God's truth are often labeled as haters, mean, and rude. But is this really the case? Or are we simply being called out for our sinful ways? In this sermon, we'll explore the misconception of godly love and how it pierces the heart of those who justify their sin.

The World's Definition of Love:

The world defines love as acceptance and tolerance of any behavior. However, this is far from God's definition. God's love is not about condoning sin but about transforming lives through His truth.

Biblical Examples:

- John the Baptist: Called out the Pharisees and Sadducees for their hypocrisy (Matthew 3:7-10)

- Jesus: Confronted the woman at the well about her sinful lifestyle (John 4:16-18)

- Paul: Addressed the Corinthian church's tolerance of sin (1 Corinthians 5:1-13)

Godly Love vs. Worldly Love:

Godly love speaks truth, even when it hurts. Worldly love avoids truth to avoid offending. Godly love seeks to transform, while worldly love enables sin.

- Ezekiel 33:8-9: God holds us accountable for warning others of their sin

- Proverbs 27:6: Wounds from a friend can be trustworthy, but an enemy's kisses are deceitful

Godly people are not haters, mean, or rude. They are simply messengers of God's truth, calling out sin and offering redemption. Let us not be deceived by the world's definition of love. Instead, let us embrace God's transformative love, which pierces the heart and brings true freedom.

Scripture says, "Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but deceitful are the kisses of an enemy" (Proverbs 27:6). May we be willing to receive and speak God's truth in love, even when it's hard.
