Mocking At The Blood Of Jesus Christ. Series

Summary: Those who mock God's truth, and who follow their own desires all while claiming to be Christians, are the most dangerous kind of unbelievers.
In Hebrews 10:29, we read, “How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?”
Mocking at the blood of Jesus is a grave offense. It’s a rejection of God’s sacrifice, a scornful attitude towards the price Jesus paid for our sins. When we mock at the blood of Jesus, we’re essentially saying that His death was unnecessary, that His sacrifice was not enough to cover our sins.
But the Bible warns us that there will be consequences for such actions. In Hebrews 10:30–31, we read, “For we know him who said, ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ and again, ‘The Lord will judge his people.’ It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
We Know that the precious blood of Jesus, is shed for our redemption and salvation. Yet, there are those who mock and scorn this sacred gift. Let us examine the scriptures and explore why the blood of Jesus is worthy of our reverence and awe.
In Hebrews 9:22, we read, “And according to the law, one may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness.” The blood of Jesus represents the ultimate sacrifice, a demonstration of divine love and grace.
As we meditate on the significance of the blood of Jesus, let us remember that our Lord calls us to approach with humility and gratitude. May our hearts be filled with reverence and awe for the price He paid for our salvation.
‘For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God’ 1 Corinthians 1:18
God takes the mocking of His Son’s blood seriously, and He will punish those who do so. It’s a fearful thing to consider, and it should cause us to examine our hearts and motives.
Let us remember the sacrifice of Jesus with reverence and gratitude. Let us not take His blood for granted but cherish it as the precious gift that it is. May we never mock at the blood of Jesus but honor it with our lives and our worship. Amen.
