INTRODUCTION:
Knowing God is not just about religion or rituals, but about cultivating an intimate relationship with Him that transforms our lives and empowers us for extraordinary exploits. Many people know about God, but only those who truly know Him experience His power and authority in their daily lives.
The world celebrates human wisdom, strength, and riches, but the Scriptures reveal that true glory lies in knowing and understanding the Lord (Jeremiah 9:23-24). It is this deep knowledge of God that equips believers with divine strength, resilience in adversity, and the ability to perform supernatural exploits.
In a time when challenges, persecutions, and wickedness abound, the key to victory is not in human effort but in knowing the God who never fails. The more we know Him, the more we reflect His nature and demonstrate His power on earth.
1. THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD BRINGS STRENGTH
Those who truly know God are not easily shaken by trials. Their strength is rooted in divine revelation.
a) Strength through intimacy (Isaiah 40:29-31): Knowing God renews your strength to rise above life’s storms like the eagle.
b) Strength through the Word (Psalm 119:28): The Word of God infuses inner strength and resilience to overcome challenges.
c) Strength through prayer (Ephesians 3:16): Communion with God in prayer releases His power into our inner man.
d) Strength through the Spirit (Acts 1:8): The Holy Spirit empowers believers with divine enablement for exploits.
Biblical Example: Daniel stood strong in Babylon because he knew God, refusing to defile himself and prevailing in the lion’s den (Daniel 6:10-23).
2. KNOWING GOD REVEALS HIS WILL
The more we know God, the clearer His will becomes, guiding us to walk in alignment with His purposes.
a) Knowledge through the Word (Psalm 119:105): God’s Word is a lamp to direct our path.
b) Knowledge through the Spirit (Romans 8:14): The Spirit leads those who are sons of God into divine will.
c) Knowledge through obedience (John 7:17): Obedience opens the door to deeper understanding of God’s will.
d) Knowledge through fellowship (1 John 1:3): True fellowship with God and His people deepens spiritual discernment.
Biblical Example: Paul sought to know Christ and His will, which directed his apostolic ministry (Acts 9:5-6; Philippians 3:10).
3. KNOWING GOD PRODUCES FAITH AND BOLDNESS
Faith is born out of revelation, and boldness flows from the assurance of God’s presence.
a) Faith comes by hearing (Romans 10:17): Knowing God through His Word strengthens faith.
b) Boldness through assurance (Hebrews 13:5-6): God’s promises make us fearless in the face of opposition.
c) Confidence through covenant (Hebrews 8:10): Knowing God as covenant-keeper brings confidence in His faithfulness.
d) Authority through revelation (Luke 10:19): Those who know God walk in authority over the enemy.
Biblical Example: David’s knowledge of God gave him faith and boldness to face Goliath when others were afraid (1 Samuel 17:45-47).
4. KNOWING GOD LEADS TO SUPERNATURAL EXPLOITS
Exploits are not ordinary works; they are divine acts that testify of God’s power through His people.
a) Exploits through faith (Hebrews 11:33-34): By faith, heroes of old subdued kingdoms and stopped the mouths of lions.
b) Exploits through obedience (Joshua 6:20): Jericho’s walls fell through obedience to divine instruction.
c) Exploits through prayer (James 5:17-18): Elijah prayed earnestly and controlled the elements.
d) Exploits through intimacy (John 15:5): Staying connected to Christ produces lasting fruit.
Biblical Example: The Apostles, though ordinary men, turned the world upside down because they knew Jesus and carried His power (Acts 4:13).
CONCLUSION:
To know God is to walk in strength, clarity, faith, and exploits. It is not enough to have head knowledge about Him; we must seek to know Him personally through His Word, prayer, and the leading of the Spirit. The exploits we long for are birthed in intimacy with God.
Beloved, your destiny of exploits begins with a deeper hunger for God. The closer you walk with Him, the greater your exploits will be. Choose to know Him, and your life will become a testimony of divine power.
