Title: Hindrances to God’s Will

Mark 8:34-35

34 When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 35 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.

Introduction:

We’ve been talking of God’s will for four weeks now.

In a simplest view of God’s will – He wills that all men to be saved, and men may know of God’s love and planned of salvation through Jesus Christ.

(Sa malawak na pagtingin sa kalooban ng Diyos – ito yung Kalooban nya na

ang lahat ng tao ay maligtas at makaalam ng kanyang dakilang pag-ibig sa pamamagitan ni Jesu-Kristo.)

1 Timoteo 2:4

4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

(4 Ibig niyang ang lahat ng tao ay maligtas at makaalam ng katotohanang ito.

Sa bawat isa, mayroon naman siyang kalooban, partikular, sang-ayon sa Kanyang Layunin at kaloob sa buhay mo. )(Purpose and Gift)

This is good news, everytime we seek God, we discover the wealth of God’s good will in your life. We discover that everything He wills is for our good.

(Ito ang maganda, habang hinahanap mo ang Diyos, natutuklasan ang mga Kayamanan ng Kalooban ng Diyos sa buhay mo.. ang lahat ay maganda, mabuti at pinagpala…)

Hindrances to God’s Will

(Ano-anu ang mga Hadlang kaya di natin Malaman ang Kalooban ng Diyos sa buhay natin.)

1. Self-will

Self-will is more of relying on our own desire or understanding of things in life rather than God’s way for us.

(Sa madaling salita mas gusto mong gawin ang gusto mo, kaysa ang sumunod sa Diyos o ang gusto ng Diyos sa buhay mo.)

Most of the time, You don’t even bother to know God’s will in your life.

Can we change our “Self-will” into “God’s will”?

(Pwede bang palitan natin ng God’s WILL ang Self-Will?)

2. Influence of others

We believe when you are influence by your Pastor, Cell Leaders in the church you are in the good path.

The problem comes, when we choose to be influenced by other people instead of God, His word or His principles, His leader/pastor or your cell leader in the church.

Who are these people? Most of them are unbelievers whom you look at

TV personality ; Sports personality ; Close friend ; Superior in the office

They may not be bad but when their action or life is against God’s will and you copy it that where the problem goes.

We try to copy the lifestyle of the persons we were influenced with.

Can we make Jesus as our primary only influencer of our life?

(Pwede ba, ang kuhanin lang nating influencer ay si Jesus. Ma-influence ka lang ng buhay ni Jesus.)

3. Ignorance of God’s Principle

The problem goes when we are ignorant of God’s principles, His word, and His great will in your life.

Aside from, Sunday service, we have church trainings to grow our faith and our walk with God.

We need to participate in it, join into it.

4. Willful known sin

When we enjoy to do things that are considered sin, things that are against our God.

(ibig sabihin, gusto rin natin ang ating ginagawa, kahit alam natin na ito ay mali sa harapan ng Diyos.)

You may be enjoying sins now, but take note, there will come a time that you are going to reap the consequences of your own doing.

(Na-eenjoy mo sa ngayon ang mga kasalanan na ginagawa mo

Darating ang time, kakainin mo ang bunga nyan…)

Take note that those things that we consider little sins, will still cause harm into our life.

And normally sins are done secretly, you hide it, not even your love once knows about it, but remember you cannot hide it forever, as the scripture says :

Luke 8:17 For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed

(Tandaan na ang mga maliit nating pagkakasala ay nakakasakit ng ating buhay.

At mayroon pang pagkakasalang itinatago, nililihim, malalaman mo na lang kapag nagbubunga na ang mga pagkakasalang ito.)

Anong ginagawa ng SIN sa atin…?)

Sin does unto once life…

a. Sin blinds our eyes to see God’s truth

b. Sin deafens of our ears to hear God’s truth

c. Sin hardens our hearts to God

d. Sin dulls our conscience to the Word of God (wala ng talab sa ating kunsensya)

5. Busyness

Our busyness fill us with so many things that eventually make us forget what is more important in life, our relationship with God.

(Yung pagiging busy natin, madalas nagagamit para hindi natin pansinin ang mga kasalanang nagagawa natin. Pinupuno natin ang ating mga sarili ng kung ano-anong gawain, para malimutan ang higit na mahalaga.
