Summary: Have you recieved the bread of Life?

Acts 2:14-41

Question: In an effort to do good do we get distracted?

Acts 2:22-24 “Now, listen to what I have to say about Jesus from Nazareth. God proved that He sent Jesus to you by having Him work miracles, wonders, and signs. All of you know this. God had already planned and decided that Jesus would be handed over to you. So you took Him and had evil men put Him to death on a cross. But God set Him free from death and raised Him to life. Death could not hold Him in its power.” (CEV)

Do You Know Jesus:

1) Jesus’ miracles were proof of His divinity! Vs. 23 “God proved that He sent Jesus to you by having Him work miracles, wonders, and signs.” (CEV)

“I use the word Miracle to mean an interference with Nature by supernatural power.” C.S. Lewis

John 14:5-11

Miracles are never performed for entertainment but to direct others to Christ!

2) Jesus’ death served as the sacrifice for the world! Vs. 23 “God had already planned and decided that Jesus would be handed over to you. So you took Him and had evil men put Him to death on a cross.” (CEV)

Question: How could a sinner die for a sinner?

1 Peter 2:24 “Christ carried our sins in his body on the cross so we would stop living for sin and start living for what is right.” (NCV)

3) Death was no match for Jesus! Vs. 24 “But God set Him free from death and raised Him to life. Death could not hold Him in its power.” (CEV)

Question: What should we do?

John 6:35 “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” (NLT)
