While reading the book of John this morning a verse caught my attention

John 15:25 “But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: 'They hated me without reason.'

Now Jesus is not only talking about Himself but He is also quoting a passage out of

Psalm 69:4 "Those who hate me without reason outnumber the hairs of my head; many are my enemies without cause, those who seek to destroy me. I am forced to restore what I did not steal.

So while on Psalm 69 I started reading and now I know why the Lord brought me there this morning.

I saw where a married mother of two young children got in her car, purchased a bottle of sleeping pills and committed suicide. The ending of this could be “All hope lost” BUT WHY? Well, let me give you some of the verses that King David who had power, slayed Goliath but here he is asking these questions.

Psalm 69: 1-4 “Save me, O God For the waters have threatened my life. I have sunk in deep mire, and there is no foothold; I have come into deep waters, and a flood overflows me. I am weary with my crying; my throat is parched My eyes fail while I wait for my God. Those who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head Those who would destroy me are powerful, being wrongfully my enemies; What I did not steal, I then have to restore.

Psalm 69:14,15 “Rescue me from the mire, do not let me sink; deliver me from those who hate me, from the deep waters. Do not let the floodwaters engulf me or the depths swallow me up or the pit close its mouth over me.

Psalm 69:19,20 “You know how I am scorned, disgraced and shamed; all my enemies are before you. Scorn has broken my heart and has left me helpless;I looked for sympathy, but there was none, for comforters, but I found none.

Let me summarize this in a few words

Save Me

No Foothold

Flood Overflows Me

I am weary with my crying

Those who hate me without cause

Rescue me

Deliver me from those who hate me

I am scorned, disgraced and ashamed.

Again this is the man who fought on account of Goliath saying bad things about God. He slayed the Giant with a slingshot, killed a bear and lion and routed numerous armies. So why the turn? For some reason WILLPOWER alone will make us forget God’s miracles in our lives. You will need to see them again and again to BEIEVE. That is unless you can learn to live in and by the mighty counselor that Jesus left, the Holy Spirit. When you pray, worship, praise God and seek Him by your Spirit then your spirit testifies with God’s spirit and your fear is gone.

YOU CANNOT DOUBT GOD’S PERFECT PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE WHEN YOU LIVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT AND WORSHIP HIM IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH.

But remember if we do nothing in our Christian walk our soul defaults to the flesh which is weak , corruptible and worrisome. In our Spirit there is NO WORRY.

Please take this weekend like David by putting on sackcloth and ashes and repenting. Dress casually and get serious about your walk with God. Get in a quiet place with no noise and seek Him, YOUR Father. It is never God who strays but it is our heart. He is ALWAUS there when we repent and come back to Him. Will you start today?

“Lord a lot of us are in such a rut of despair, loss of hope and broken. Please help us Lord come back to you not with a prideful heart but one that is shattered to pieces so you can build us up in YOUR Spirit and strength for your perfect purpose. “ Amen

Not this is your part. Because of our Free Will You have to allow God full access to do whatever He wishes with your life. You cannot hold back anything IF you want to be set free. The choice is yours. Make this the weekend that you allow God to change you forever.
