23 Things I Expect In This Century

23. I expect a . . . soul-winning . . . sin-crushing . . . Holy Ghost filled revival to transform individuals. While the Bible promises “perilous days” and “evil days” at the end of this age, I believe God:

· God loves people and wants to save as many as possible.

· God is powerful enough to stop evil at any time.

· God will respond to the repentance and prayers of His people.

Years ago I read an article by Dr. Towns where he quotes a prominent fundamentalist college president who said there couldn’t be a world-wide revival and there wouldn’t be one. I disagree. I believe the promises of the Bible. This is the promise I give to you and to the church for the coming century,

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (II Chronicles 7:14).

If you have never really accepted Jesus as your personal Savior, would you do it right now? Do not delay or put it off. If you would like to receive Christ by faith, pray this simple prayer in your heart:

Dear Lord, I acknowledge that I am a sinner. I believe Jesus died for my sins on the cross, and rose again the third day. I repent of my sins. By faith I receive the Lord Jesus as my Savior. You promised to save me, and I believe You, because You are God and cannot lie. I believe right now that the Lord Jesus is my personal Savior, and that all my sins are forgiven through His precious blood. I thank You, dear Lord, for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
