If you have been blessed with this sermon compilation, I would be honoured to receive an e-mail from you simply stating where in the world you are based; I do not need any other information, however, please feel free to communicate. This is merely so that I can have the pleasure of giving thanks to Almighty God that all over the globe, the ministry which he has entrusted to me, is blessing the body of Christ and helping to extend the Kingdom of God.

TITHES & OFFERINGS DEVOTION No. 2_THE SOURCE OF OUR MONEY
1 Chronicles 29:11-14 (NIV)
---------------------------
1Ch 29:11 Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.
1Ch 29:12 Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all.
1Ch 29:13 Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.
1Ch 29:14 “But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.
The true owner of everything is God !!
1. King David possessed enormous wealth, but he recognized an important truth, that all of it belonged to God.
2. Everything in heaven and earth belongs to God (vs 11) – He is the creator of all good things.
3. Just like David, our heavenly Father desires that we acknowledge his ownership and that we trust completely in his ability to provide for us.
4. “Wealth and honor come from you. (vs 12)” All that we have comes from God. Our strength, without which we cannot earn a living, is also from the Lord (vs 12)
Deut 8:17 ‘You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” Dt 8:18 But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth.’
No-one can boast about his/her wealth because it is the Lord who gives power and strength and the ability to produce wealth.
5. Have you ever thanked God for your wealth, your posessions (Vs 13)?
6. David acknowledged: “Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand (vs 14).”
ILLUSTRATION
The test of a financial loss would reveal whether or not we are depending on God and whether or not we understand that our possessions belong to him. Once the great evangelist John Wesley was on a trip, he got word that fire had destroyed his home. Instead of being upset, he declared in faith: “The Lord’s house burned. One less responsibility for me!” (Small Group Financial Study: Crown Ministries, Inc. 1986)
Like John Wesley, we also need to acknowledge that God is the owner of all that we have. Whatever the amount of our portion, it is for Him to decide. Our responsibility is to be good stewards of whatever Father has entrusted to us and to use it to extend His Kingdom.
“Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand (vs 14).”.
