VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. That our soul will praise the LORD

"Let me live that I may praise You,"

Soul or "nephesh" in Hebrew meaning: a breathing creature.

Psalms 9:13-14 (Amplified Bible)

9:13 Have mercy upon me and be gracious to me, O Lord; consider how I am afflicted by those who hate me, You Who lift me up from the gates of death,

9:14 That I may show forth (recount and tell aloud) all Your praises! In the gates of the Daughter of Zion I will rejoice in Your salvation and Your saving help.

Isaiah 38:19 (Amplified Bible)

38:19 The living, the living—they shall thank and praise You, as I do this day; the father shall make known to the children Your faithfulness and Your truth.

Psalms 118:18-19 (Amplified Bible)

118:18 The Lord has chastened me sorely, but He has not given me over to death.

118:19 Open to me the [temple] gates of righteousness; I will enter through them, and I will confess and praise the Lord.

Praise or "halal" in Hebrew meaning:

1. to be clear

2. to shine

3. to make a show

4. to boast

5. to celebrate

6. to boast

7. to stultify: to make one a fool, to make foolish, in law: to alledge or prove to be insane

Example of David in praising the LORD:

2 Samuel 6:14 (Amplified Bible)

6:14 And David danced before the Lord with all his might, clad in a linen ephod [a priest’s upper garment].

2 Samuel 6:16 (Amplified Bible)

6:16 As the ark of the Lord came into the City of David, Michal, Saul’s daughter [David’s wife], looked out of the window and saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord, and she despised him in her heart.

If we're going to praise the LORD it will show to everyone and be clear to everyone, because in their heart if they are not in the LORD, will despise you because they will think you are making a fool of yourself by leaping and dancing before the LORD.

B. That GOD's WORDS will help us

"and let Your decrees help me"

To desire the LORD is also to desire His WORDS.

Isaiah 26:8-9 (Amplified Bible)

26:8 Yes, in the path of Your judgments, O Lord, we wait [expectantly] for You; our heartfelt desire is for Your name and for the remembrance of You.

26:9 My soul yearns for You [O Lord] in the night, yes, my spirit within me seeks You earnestly; for [only] when Your judgments are in the earth will the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God).

You can't say that you desire the LORD but not believing His WORDS. That is contradiction and either you know what you're lying or you're a mad person. You can't love GOD without letting yourself be taught in the WORD.

1 Corinthians 11:31-32 (Amplified Bible)

11:31 For if we searchingly examined ourselves [detecting our shortcomings and recognizing our own condition], we should not be judged and penalty decreed [by the divine judgment].

11:32 But when we [fall short and] are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined and chastened, so that we may not [finally] be condemned [to eternal punishment along] with the world.

IX. CONCLUSION:

Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS, for You have let me live for the purpose of praising and celebrating Your Presence here on earth and letting Your WORDS help and train me.
