THE BEARING OF A LION

(How Aslan Reminds Us of Jesus Christ)

1. HIS NAME IS LIKE A SWEET FRAGRENCE –

“Perhaps it has sometimes happened to you in a dream … it has some enormous meaning - either a terrifying one which turns the whole dream into a nightmare or else a lovely meaning too lovely to put into words, which makes the dream so beautiful that you remember it all your life and are always wishing you could get into that dream again.” Narrator explaining the effect that the name of Aslan has on people who hear it the first time. 2. HIS COMING BANISHES WINTER –

Mr. Beaver to the children when he saw Father Christmas, “Come on! Come and see! This is a nasty knock for the Witch! It looks as if her power is already crumbling.” LWW, Page 159

Father Christmas to the children, “I’ve come at last,” said he. “She has kept me out for a long time, but I have got in at last. Aslan is on the move. The Witch’s magic is weakening.” LWW, page 159
