Facing Jezebel 1 King 19:1

1 AHAB TOLD Jezebel all that Elijah had done and how he had slain all the prophets [of Baal] with the sword.

1.Elijah’s personal battle began at the gate of Jezreel

A. He came to Jezreel and did not want to enter the city

B. Pride affected his life. 1 Kings 19:10 (AMP)

C. I am important

D.I am the only one standing against Ahab

10 He replied, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts; for the Israelites have forsaken Your covenant, thrown down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. And I, I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.

2. There are three battles

A. Battle between God and Devil- this will take place in the unseen realm.

B. Battle between Church and the Devil

C. Battle between You and Devil

Devil says that and knows that he will loose the first two battles. But he will try to win the third one that is the battle between you and devil.

Revelation 2:20-22 (AMP)

20 But I have this against you: that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess [claiming to be inspired], and who is teaching and leading astray my servants and beguiling them into practicing sexual vice and eating food sacrificed to idols.

21 I gave her time to repent, but she has no desire to repent of her immorality [symbolic of idolatry] and refuses to do so.

22 Take note: I will throw her on a bed [of anguish], and those who commit adultery with her [her paramours] I will bring down to pressing distress and severe affliction, unless they turn away their minds from conduct [such as] hers and repent of their doings.

3. It is a lie that Jezebel will kill Elijah

Elijah forgot about the fire, altar, victory, chariot, and angel. The bible says he ran for his life. Who is holding your life? Where is the God who came on the mountain? Where is the faith you had yesterday, where is the victory that you got last week.

Remember that God is with you.

He with you on the mountain

He is with you in the valley

He is with you under the ocean

He is with you in the belly of the fish

He is with you in the fire

He is with your even when you are running form Jezebel.

4. Listen to the voice of God.

It might not be the way you expected

You need to move from your comfort to hear the voice

You need to hide under the rock (that rock is Jesus)

(Only one rock – that is the Rock of ages)

Come closer to him to the Rock and listen to the voice from the rock.

It might not be from the place you expected – there might a thunder in your life, there might an earthquake in your life, there might be a roaring the enemy in your life, there might be a great wind (expecting the voice there but not there either) – move on , keep on walking to the Rock,

Another revival and thought this is it but not

Another fasting prayer and expect the deliverance and not there either

It might not the style you wanted and expected. This never happened before, Last time when God speaks to me this was not the way.

It might not be the voice you expecting

It might challenge you – what are you doing here?

It might not be the message you wanted to hear

Still listen to the voice of the Lord. It will give you strength to take victory over Jezebel.

5. You need to resist this enemy

This battle is not your battle.

Face the enemy

Resist the Devil and he will flee from you.

Not by might nor by power but by the Spirit – you will take victory

6. You will gain control and continue to do the will of God.

1 Kings 19:15-16 (AMP)

15 And the Lord said to him, Go, return on your way to the Wilderness of Damascus; and when you arrive, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria.

16 And anoint Jehu son of Nimshi to be king over Israel, and anoint Elisha son of Shaphat of Abel-meholah to be prophet in your place.

Elijah came out of cave

Fear want away from him

Went and fulfilled the plan of God

Moved on with his life

Moved on with his ministry

You need to receive fresh anointing today and come our of the cave of your life and fulfill the plan and purpose of God in your life.
