The scene was San Diego Superior Court. Two men were on trial for armed robbery. An eyewitness took the stand, and the prosecutor moved carefully: "So, you say you were at the scene when the robbery took place?" "Yes." "And you saw a vehicle leave at a high rate of speed?" "Yes." "And did you observe the occupants?" "Yes, two men." "And," the prosecutor boomed, "are those two men present in court today?" At this point the two defendants sealed their fate. They raised their hands.

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? [32] He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? [33] Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. Romans 8:31-33

What a great assurance, If God be for you….who or what can avail against you???

God has acted and will act for us, not against us.

This is another assurance of deliverance.

God did not have to act on our behalf, HE chose to.

Nothing, absolutely nothing shall ever separate us from the plan and purpose of God.

God’s love is absolute…perfect.

God shall deliver us from the struggling and suffering of this world.

Remember, we will be conformed to the image of Christ and glorified with Him (Romans 8:29-30).

The point:

God HIMSELF is our assurance.

God HIMSELF has acted for us.

Remember in our every situation: “If God be for us, who can be against us?”

God is our Savior.

God “spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all” (Rom 8:32).

“Spared not”…God gave HIS all, did not hold back; did not refuse or hesitate.

Can the same be said of you towards God?

God chose to deliver us from our struggling and suffering world, and there was only one way:

Christ …

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8)

“For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly” (Romans 5:6).

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

“Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father” (Galatians 1:4).

“All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all” (Isaiah 53:6).

God is our Provider.

Since God has done such a great and glorious thing, how shall HE not also give us all things to accomplish his “good and perfect” will in our lives?

Yet, nothing could ever cost God anything close to the price HE paid in giving us HIS Son; therefore, God will provide our needs.

Spiritual, eternal, and material...

The spiritual provision is the fruit of the Spirit

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law” (Galatians 5:22-23).

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ” (Ephes. 1:3).

The eternal provision…deliverance from the struggling and suffering of this sinful world…eternal life.

“That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus” (Ephes. 2:7).

The material gifts are the necessities of life…needs.

“Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?...But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:31, 33).

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:19).

God’s provision is freely given. Praise God, we couldn’t merit or earn them apart from HIM. God provides and meets our need because He loves us.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast” (Eph. 2:8-9).

The provision of God comes through Christ alone.

It is with Christ that God gives us all things.

If we are with Christ, then all things are given to us.
