INTRODUCTION:

There are times in life when men overlook your sacrifices, ignore your prayers, or disregard your secret tears. But the God we serve is not blind to what happens in the hidden places. He sees beyond the physical, beyond appearances, and into the depths of every heart. His eyes are ever on the righteous, and He never forgets the labour of love done in secret.

God is not only the all-seeing One; He is also the faithful Rewarder. While others may never notice the fasting, intercession, giving, and perseverance done behind closed doors, God not only sees them — He stores them as seeds for an open harvest. Those who serve Him in humility and secrecy can rest assured that their reward will be public and undeniable.

The Scriptures are clear: what is done in secret, whether good or evil, will be brought to light. But for the child of God, this truth is a source of encouragement. It means that no genuine act of devotion goes unnoticed by Heaven. Our God sees in secret and rewards openly.

1. GOD SEES EVERY HIDDEN SACRIFICE

Before the reward manifests, there is always a season of silent obedience and invisible effort. God watches closely, noting every act of devotion.

a) Secret Giving

God sees the offerings you give when no one is watching (Matthew 6:3-4).

b) Hidden Acts of Kindness

He records every compassionate gesture done without seeking applause (Hebrews 6:10).

c) Unseen Labour in Prayer

Your midnight cries and intercessions are never wasted (Psalm 56:8).

d) Fasting in Private

When you afflict your soul in secret, He prepares to honour you in the open (Matthew 6:17-18).

Biblical Example: Hannah’s silent prayers in the temple (1 Samuel 1:9-20)

2. GOD REWARDS OPENLY WHAT WAS DONE IN SECRET

When God steps in to reward a person, it is clear to all. He honours those who quietly remained faithful in obscurity.

a) Public Honour from Private Integrity

Joseph’s promotion came after years of silent suffering and secret obedience (Genesis 41:39-41).

b) God Celebrates the Humble

Those who humble themselves before Him are lifted up in due season (James 4:10).

c) Secret Preparation Leads to Public Manifestation

David’s years of isolation prepared him for national recognition (Psalm 78:70-72).

d) God’s Reward Cannot Be Denied

When God opens the door, no one can shut it (Revelation 3:7-8).

Biblical Example: Mordecai’s unnoticed act recorded and later rewarded publicly (Esther 6:1-11)

3. GOD SEES BEYOND OUTWARD APPEARANCE

Many judge by what they see, but God looks into the heart. His judgement and reward are based on truth.

a) God Weighs Motives

He is not impressed by showmanship but by sincerity (Proverbs 16:2).

b) Hidden Righteousness Attracts Divine Favour

What you do in secret defines your standing before God (Matthew 6:6).

c) Man May Forget, But God Remembers

He remembers those who quietly serve Him (Malachi 3:16).

d) God’s Eyes Are in Every Place

Even in darkness or obscurity, He sees (Jeremiah 23:24).

Biblical Example: The widow who gave two mites unnoticed by men but recognised by Jesus (Mark 12:41-44)

CONCLUSION:

God is a faithful Rewarder who never ignores what is done in secret. Whether it is your giving, fasting, prayer, or obedience, He will honour you. The secret places of service are often the seedbeds for open rewards. You may be hidden from the eyes of men, but never from the eyes of God.

Let this truth encourage you to continue your walk with God in sincerity and humility. Keep pressing on in those private moments of devotion — for your reward is on the way, and it will not be denied.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Father, help me to serve You with a sincere heart, even when no one is watching.

2. Lord, may my secret sacrifices attract Your open rewards.

3. Every good seed I have sown in secret, let it yield public testimonies.

4. Lord, open my eyes to understand that You see everything I do.

5. May my hidden labours in Your vineyard never go unrewarded.

6. Silence every voice that mocks my hidden walk with You.

7. Father, let my secret prayers provoke a divine response.

8. May I never seek the approval of men over the approval of God.

9. O Lord, reward me in the open and let all see Your goodness in my life.

10. Let no secret effort of mine go to waste in Your kingdom.
