INTRODUCTION:
Faith is the divine key that unlocks the supernatural. Throughout Scripture, we see that God responds to faith wherever it is found. The miracles of Jesus were often accompanied by one common element—faith. Faith is not just belief; it is trust in God’s power and character, even when circumstances seem impossible.
Many believers long for miracles but lack the faith that activates them. It is not enough to desire a miracle; one must demonstrate a faith that moves heaven. Faith touches the heart of God, draws His power into our situations, and makes the impossible become possible. When our faith is alive and active, we are positioned to receive miracles beyond human comprehension.
In this message, we will explore how genuine faith activates the miraculous hand of God. We will learn what kind of faith draws divine attention and how to develop such faith in our daily lives.
1. FAITH BEGINS WITH A DEEP CONVICTION IN GOD’S POWER
Faith is rooted in the belief that God is both willing and able to intervene.
a) Faith acknowledges God’s ability (Hebrews 11:6): Genuine faith believes not only that God exists but that He rewards those who diligently seek Him.
b) Faith is convinced of God’s willingness (Matthew 8:2-3): The leper said, “If You are willing, You can make me clean,” and Jesus replied, “I am willing.”
c) Faith is not shaken by what is seen (2 Corinthians 5:7): We walk by faith and not by sight, trusting in the unseen power of God.
d) Faith expects divine intervention (Luke 1:45): Blessed is she who believed, for there shall be a performance of what was promised.
Biblical Example: The woman with the issue of blood believed that if she could just touch Jesus’ garment, she would be healed (Mark 5:28).
2. FAITH TAKES COURAGEOUS ACTION IN THE FACE OF CHALLENGES
Faith is not passive—it pushes through obstacles to receive a miracle.
a) Faith pushes beyond limitations (Mark 2:4): The friends of the paralytic broke the roof to lower him before Jesus.
b) Faith takes risks (Esther 4:16): Esther said, “If I perish, I perish,” and went before the king in faith.
c) Faith refuses to be silenced (Mark 10:47-48): Blind Bartimaeus shouted louder when others tried to stop him.
d) Faith moves even when it’s uncomfortable (Genesis 12:1): Abraham left his homeland in obedience to God’s call.
Biblical Example: Peter stepped out of the boat and walked on water by faith (Matthew 14:29).
3. FAITH SPEAKS WITH AUTHORITY AND CONFIDENCE
What we say reveals what we truly believe.
a) Faith declares victory before it manifests (Romans 4:17): Abraham called those things which be not as though they were.
b) Faith refuses to speak doubt (James 1:6): He who doubts is like a wave tossed by the wind and should not expect anything from God.
c) Faith confesses God’s Word (2 Corinthians 4:13): “I believed, and therefore I spoke.”
d) Faith speaks life, not defeat (Proverbs 18:21): The power of life and death is in the tongue.
Biblical Example: David declared victory over Goliath before the battle began (1 Samuel 17:45-47).
4. FAITH REMAINS STEADFAST EVEN WHEN DELAYED
True faith persists, trusting God’s timing and plan.
a) Faith endures delays (Habakkuk 2:3): The vision is for an appointed time, wait for it.
b) Faith stands firm under pressure (Daniel 3:17-18): The three Hebrew boys said even if God does not deliver, they would not bow.
c) Faith continues to believe in silence (John 11:6): Jesus delayed in coming to Lazarus, but still performed a miracle.
d) Faith grows stronger through trials (Romans 4:20): Abraham did not waver through unbelief but was strengthened in faith.
Biblical Example: The Syrophoenician woman kept believing despite initial rejection (Mark 7:25-30).
5. FAITH ATTRACTS THE ATTENTION OF HEAVEN
Wherever God finds faith, He releases power.
a) Faith pleases God (Hebrews 11:6): Without faith, it is impossible to please Him.
b) Faith unlocks miracles (Matthew 9:29): “According to your faith, be it unto you.”
c) Faith invites divine encounters (Luke 7:9): Jesus marvelled at the centurion’s faith.
d) Faith brings God’s reward (James 2:22): Faith working with actions is made complete.
Biblical Example: The centurion’s faith in Jesus’ authority amazed Him and led to immediate healing (Matthew 8:10-13).
CONCLUSION:
God is still in the business of doing miracles today, but He is looking for men and women of faith. It is not enough to merely wish for a miracle—you must exercise bold, persistent, and confident faith in God’s power. Faith is the bridge between the natural and the supernatural.
If you desire to see God’s hand in your life, activate your faith. Believe in His Word, speak it, act upon it, and wait with expectation. The faith that touches God will always release divine power. You are not far from your miracle—your faith will make it manifest.
