Summary: There are 1,000 of sermons on this subject, and here is another! Listen.

In 1982, SM Lockridge preached a sermon that has never been forgotten and has been used by 1,000's of preachers, like me! It's called the "That's My King!" He says my King is a seven-way king. . . He's King of the Jews: He's King of Israel: He's King of Righteousness; He's King of the Ages; He's the King of Heaven; He's the king of Glory; He's the King of Kings and the Lord of Lord's. That's my King!. . . My King is a Sovereign King. . . Father, Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, Forever and Amen."

What an awesome way to describe the Kingship of Jesus! It was the Apostle Paul speaking to Timothy these words, "In time, He will shew you (His commands) before His appearing, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords." (1 Tim. 6:15)

In the OT, God's desire for His people was to reign as their king. He delivered them from bondage but wanted them to worship Him as King. But selecting David as their King caused confusion. So sending His Son Jesus would help bring back the Kingship He desired from His people.

We know from Jesus' beginning of coming to earth, the features of a coming king was honored by God's plan. His announcement by the angels, His being honored by the wisemen and the shepherds acknowledged him as a King. As Jesus begins His ministry He speaks about the Kingdom which is not of this world. People thought Jesus' kingdom would destroy the Roman Empire. and the reign of Caesar. John The Baptist was preaching about the 'Kingdom is near.' Sometimes Jesus would call it the Kingdom of Heaven, and other times the Kingdom of God."

When Jesus preached about the Kingdom, He was talking about God's reigning and eternal rule among all who faithfully believe in Jesus and the Father. In the parables Jesus describes the Kingdom as banquets, and weddings. It is a treasure beyond a price. It is important for those living in the kingdom be the type of people who love and worship God, forever.

The Bible speaks of a Kingdom of God which is now present and lives today in the Church of Christ, (universal) This means God reigns with His people in the world now! But it is also coming again as Jesus is triumph when He comes again. This will be a time of judgement for the evil ones in the world and for the Faithful who will reign with Christ forever.

CONCLUSION: Today we have examples of the coming of the Queen in England, celebrating Queens Day; and a Supreme Court Judge entering a room; a 4 star General entering the room; A bride entering the 'sanctuary and we we stand; BUT when Jesus comes back, He is our King of all Kings, He is our Supreme Judge, our Supreme Commander in Chief and our Bridegroom and we shout it out THAT'S OUR KING !!! Amen. Who is your King?
