Psalm 14 Five Men

1. The Foolish Man 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. - D.L. Moody - FOOL i. The Confession of human folly - 1 The fool hath said in his heart,

ii. The Cause of human folly - (There is) no God.

iii. The Curse of human folly - They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

2. The Feeble Man - 2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. The Imperative of seeking God - The Divine Gaze

to see if there were any that did understand

The Impact of seeking God - The Divine Governance - and seek God.

3. The Filthy Man -

His Impurity - 3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy His Impiety - there is none that doeth good, no, not one. His Impunity - 4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the Lord.

4. The Fearful Man -

Their Sudden Consternation - 5 There were they in great fear:

Sudden Confrontation - for God is in the generation of the righteous Sudden Condemnation 6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor,

Sudden Confusion - because the Lord is his refuge.

5. The Faithful Man

His longing - 7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion!

His Lord - 7 when the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people,

His laughter - Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
