TURN AROUND
2 Chronicles 33:1-25
Introduction:
If you have been to Church, heard sermons, etc… very many times; then you have heard the word “repent”. What is repentance? It simply means to stop going in the direction you are going, turn around, and go the other direction.
In 2 Chronicles 33, King Manasseh gives us a picture of repentance.
1. How do you know when you are going the wrong way?
2 Chronicles 33:1-10
> You seem far from God.
> You replace God and His worship with other things.
> You lead others to sin with you.
2 Chronicles 33:11
> God warns you and you don’t change.
> God warns others around you doing the same thing and you don’t change.
> God allows you to go through difficult times.
2. What do you do to change directions?
2 Chronicles 33:12-13
> You realize that your actions are the reason things are going poorly and humble yourself before God.
> You pray to God. You confess your sins to God and ask Him to help you.
> You realize that God is in control.
3. What do you do after you stop and change directions?
2 Chronicles 33:14-16
> Rebuild for God.
> Get rid of anything that you had put ahead of God and make God priority.
> Worship God.
Conclusion:
You get to choose what you do this morning. Repent?
2 Chronicles 33:21-23
