INTRODUCTION:

God desires that we draw near to Him, but He invites us to do so in the beauty of holiness. The presence of God is not merely a place of spiritual transaction but a realm where the holy nature of God is manifested. Holiness is not optional for those who desire closeness with God—it is the atmosphere of His presence. It is how we honour Him and reflect His glory.

The world has reduced holiness to a set of religious rules, but true holiness flows from a heart that longs to be like God. It is the beauty of character shaped by the Spirit, the fragrance of purity, and the splendour of a life consecrated unto the Lord. Holiness makes our worship acceptable and our approach to God powerful and reverent.

When we draw near to God in holiness, we enter into deeper intimacy. Holiness attracts divine attention and brings us into alignment with God's nature. As we walk in holiness, we not only reflect God’s character but also become vessels through which His glory flows. Drawing near in the beauty of holiness brings transformation, revelation, and lasting communion with the Almighty.

1. HOLINESS IS A REQUIREMENT FOR ACCESSING GOD’S PRESENCE

a) God is holy and dwells in holiness (Isaiah 57:15)

God invites us into His presence, but He will not compromise His holy nature.

b) Without holiness, no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14)

Holiness is not a suggestion; it is a divine requirement for intimacy.

c) Holiness purifies our hearts for worship (Matthew 5:8)

Only the pure in heart can truly see and experience God.

d) The fear of the Lord leads to holy living (Proverbs 8:13)

Reverence for God produces a lifestyle that honours Him.

e) Biblical Example: Isaiah encountered God’s holiness and was purified with fire before he could be used (Isaiah 6:1-7).

2. THE BEAUTY OF HOLINESS ATTRACTS DIVINE ATTENTION

a) Holiness is beautiful to God (Psalm 29:2)

God delights in the inward beauty of a consecrated heart.

b) Holiness brings favour and distinction (Exodus 33:16)

A holy life sets you apart and attracts divine recognition.

Holiness draws God's presence and approval.

d) Holiness enhances our spiritual authority (Acts 19:15-16)

Those who walk in holiness carry weight in the spirit realm.

e) Biblical Example: Daniel’s holy lifestyle earned him divine favour and an excellent spirit (Daniel 1:8, 6:3).

3. DRAWING NEAR IN HOLINESS BRINGS TRANSFORMATION

a) Holiness renews the mind and heart (Romans 12:1-2)

We are changed into God’s likeness when we live set apart.

b) Holiness exposes and cleanses hidden impurities (Psalm 139:23-24)

When we draw near, God reveals and removes what is not of Him.

c) Holiness creates deeper hunger for God (Psalm 42:1-2)

A clean heart develops a burning desire for more of God.

d) Holiness prepares us for divine assignments (2 Timothy 2:21)

God uses vessels that are sanctified and ready for His use.

e) Biblical Example: Moses’ 40-day encounter on the mountain transformed him because he drew near in purity (Exodus 34:29-35).

4. WE ARE CALLED TO PURSUE HOLINESS DAILY

a) God commands us to be holy (1 Peter 1:15-16)

Holiness is a divine calling, not a religious suggestion.

b) Holiness must be practical and continuous (2 Corinthians 7:1)

We must cleanse ourselves from all filthiness daily.

c) Holiness comes through grace, not legalism (Titus 2:11-12)

The grace of God teaches and empowers us to live holy lives.

d) The Holy Spirit helps us walk in holiness (Galatians 5:16)

We cannot be holy by our strength, but by surrendering to the Spirit.

e) Biblical Example: Joseph consistently chose holiness over compromise, even in private temptation (Genesis 39:7-12).

CONCLUSION:

Drawing near to God in the beauty of holiness is not only a privilege but a divine expectation. The more we behold Him, the more we become like Him. Holiness is not about external rules, but an internal transformation that reflects God's nature and attracts His presence. Holiness is beautiful to God, and it positions us to enjoy deep and sustained intimacy with Him.

Let us lay aside every weight and draw near to our holy God with clean hands and pure hearts. In holiness, there is revelation, power, and divine glory. As we pursue and embrace the beauty of holiness, we will find that God draws near to us in greater measure, and our lives become a fragrance of His presence on earth.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Lord, purify my heart and teach me to walk in holiness.

2. Father, help me to daily seek Your presence in the beauty of holiness.
