Continuing Daily In The Temple With The Spirit Of God Series

Topic: THE PROMISE OF THE FATHER pt. 12 ( CONTINUING DAILY IN THE TEMPLE WITH THE SPIRIT OF GOD)

Acts 2:46-47 King James Version (KJV)

46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Hallelujah!! How I love the early Christians. The Bible says they continued daily in the Temple.

This shows that they continued to practise the pillars of their spirituality daily. They did this in unity, thereby encouraging each other not to give up but pushing forward towards the goal.

In the temple, the Word of God and His doctrines are taught. They studied more on the doctrines of God. Their grounding in the Word was being established deeper and stronger each day as they kept learning in the temple.

Also their fellowship with God grew deeper in the temple. In the temple they served God by assisting the Apostles. Also in the temple there is constant worshiping and praising of God. This fosters a deeper relationship with the Father. Fellowship with Him is deepened therefore.

The Bible says they were breaking bread from house to house. They continued to receive the body and blood of Christ. Holy communion was a constant thing for them. Their hunger and thirst were satisfied always. Their discernment in the spiritual and physical realm, was sharpened. They went to Jesus everyday and exhibited their faith in Him by taking the communion always.

In the temple prayer is key and part of the daily activities that went on there. Their prayer lives were kept active because they engaged in constant prayer in the temple. They were therefore men and women of prayer.

Beloved, because they practised these always, their spirituality was solid and they were able to connect and worship God in spirit and in truth.

Beloved, they were able to practise all these because Precious Holy Spirit was with them and they acknowledged Him always. They had great and wonderful fellowship with Him.

Their praise, was in spirit and in truth. This was pleasing and acceptable to the Lord and the Lord honoured them with favour before all men and before Him. The Bible put it as "praising God and having favour with all the people".

The Lord also rewarded their work and dedication by adding to their number daily according to they that were to be saved. They therefore had an ever-growing church. God blessed them with the ever-increasing anointing. No decrease, no stagnation.

Beloved, these people were happy and content always. They shared everything they had, sold their possessions and brought in the money for all to have a share in it and be satisfied with every provision needed. They were properly united in one accord.

If we would practise the four pillars of our spirituality just as they did, we would do exploits. We would do a lot more because we have a lot of things that they didn't have at our disposal. A major example is "technology".

Without the Spirit of God we can't practise these four pillars and they will become boring and difficult for us to even try.

Beloved, let's not give up, let's continue to pray and push for the time when we would be as united as the early church with such contentment and spirituality to deliver as God wants us to.

With Precious Holy Spirit we can push and push and push to get there and we shall surely get there.

It is possible, the time of the Apostles can happen again, let's pray and push for it and it shall surely happen. With the Spirit of God active and alive in us, we shall surely have those days back with us again.

Beloved, *IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS* and no one else, if we would focus on Jesus and His teachings to have the true meaning of "THE CHURCH BEING THE BODY OF CHRIST" and "THE CHURCH BEING THE BRIDE OF CHRIST", there would be a turnaround in the church and we would do what YHWH wants us to do for the fulfilment of His purpose.

With the help of the Spirit who raised Christ from the dead we would build the "BODY OF CHRIST" as it ought to be built.

Prayer: Father please strengthen us to keep our focus on Jesus and His teachings. Strengthen us to follow Him diligently and do as He wants always. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
