Summary: Thou shalt not covet

Coveting is the opposite of contentment.

Christians should be the most contented people on earth!

Hebrews 13:5 "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."

Are you content or are you a horseleach?

Proverbs 30:15 "The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give."

It is wrong to covet:

Property "thy neighbour's house"

People "thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant"

Possessions "his ox…his ass…any thing that is thy neighbour's"

Coveting excludes from heaven!

Ephesians 5:5 "For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God."

1 Corinthians 6:10 "Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God."

Do you own money or does money own you?

In the end 6 foot of ground will be enough for all of us.

Last words of Alexander the Great: "Keep my hands outside the coffin so that the world knows the person who won the world had nothing in his hands when dying“.
