10 People most Pastors will encounter in thier Ministry Leadership

(This is intended to be useful as an outline)

If a Pastor is in ministry long enough he will inevitably encounter these relationships in his life:

JOHN - this person always listens to your heartbeat and thus knows your heart. The ones you can trust with your most intimate thoughts, relationships and even family Jesus tells the Apostle John at the cross "Son, behold your mother, mother behold your son" "John" in your ministry will always be a Comfort and provides both personal & ministry support. Like John there are very few.

PETER - The one who walks with you and is willing to learn from you but when critized for walking with you may likely deny you...Peter however, will return with a change of attitude and a humble heart...and will even be willing to lay down his life along side you. Peters are headstrong but when they repent of the harm they have caused you they learn from their mistakes and will stay faithful till the end.

NATHANIEL - He whose spirit and heart is pure...true through and through there is NO GUILE in Nathaniel...a breath of fresh air, Nathaniels in your life can be trusted and entrusted with much. They are a great joy!

JUDAS - He who is with you and follows for all the wrong reasons...Judas has never been fully converted, therefore he will seek to manipulate you with his words, tell you what you want to hear but always has ulterior motives...They want to profit or advance thier own cause even if it means using you...They betray you with a kiss. They are often in private meetings or coversations where the subject is you. Dishonest, they always end up breaking your heart and hurting themselves in the process.

JOSHUA - Loyal to the very end. Though some others I've mentioned are also loyal Joshua is willing to help you lead and is ok with standing in your shadow. In fact, that is where they work best... Joshua is your right hand, a trusted friend, the one you groom to carry on the work. A Selfless Leader. Because he knows your heart and leadership style he is able to defend you to others, when others are misreading you. With Joshua you can march into battle... they are fearless and always strengthen your faith

AARON & MIRIAM - So close and yet so far, Aaron and Miriam allow thier ears to become the "Garbage Can" of the people, and in doing so their heart is affected and infected...the people and their complaints work to poison thier heart and they begin to view Moses with a different heart. All of Moses weakness become magnified in thier eyes. When they look at Moses all they could hear is the people and thier criticism of him, they see the man not the calling. These are afflicted by Leprosy. However, these tend to have a change of heart after they see the hurt they've caused and the consequences that followed their sinful heart.

ABSALON - The one who will try to turn the heart of the people away from you and onto themselves...they usually work to make themselves look good before the eyes of the people. Preaching becomes a challenge to out preach the lead Pastor. Usually very charismatic and liked. Must be Confronted or removed quickly! Until they understand humility and brokenness they are a danger in the ministry and because they've gotten so close to you they can easily harm your personal and family reputation

ALEXANDER & HYMANIUS - These will join your leadership for a season. but will leave you when convenient...and after they leave they cause a great deal of trouble and much harm... But Paul said, "The LORD will repay them for what they have done"
