Why We Should Love One Another? Series

TOPIC: WHY WE SHOULD LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

TEXT: John 4:19 (GW)

19 We love because God loved us first.

I. Because He First Loved Us (4:19, R.V.).

In the R.V. it reads: "We love because He first loved us." This dropped word means that we love not only God, but also one another.

II. Because He Still Loves Us (4:11). 1 John 4:11 (GW)

11 Dear friends, if this is the way God loved us, we must also love each other.

III. Because He Commands Us (3:23). 1 John 3:23 (GW)

23 This is his commandment: to believe in his Son, the one named Jesus Christ, and to love each other as he commanded us.

IV. Because He has Come to Live Within Us (4:12).

12 No one has ever seen God. If we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is perfected in us.

V. Because We have Delivered from Death to Life (3:14).

14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love other believers. The person who doesn't grow in love remains in death.

VI. Because We are no Longer Children of the Devil as Before (3:10).

10 This is the way God's children are distinguished from the devil's children. Everyone who doesn't do what is right or love other believers isn't God's child.
