SUBTITLE: Spiritual Blessings in Christ
Paul explains four blessings that are in Christ that we have as a result of our relationship with him. These are blessings that can never be taken away from the child of God.
I. The Blessing of God’s CHOICE (v. 4-6, 11-12)
John 15:16
A. WHERE we were chosen: "in him"
B. WHEN we were chosen: "before the creation of the world"
C. WHY we were chosen:
1) To be holy & blameless
2) To be his
3) To bring him praise
Deuteronomy 7:6
II. The Blessing of Our CONVERSION (v. 7-8)
A. Our conversion involves our redemption.
Galatians 3:13
B. Our conversion involves our forgiveness.
Ephesians 2:8
C. Our conversion involves wisdom & understanding.
III. The Blessing of God’s CONFIRMATION (v. 9-10)
"...he made known to us..."
IV. The Blessing of Our COMFORT (v. 13-14)
A. We have been marked with a seal, the Holy Spirit.

B. We have been given a deposit, the Holy Spirit.
