1. Wage a good warfare- 1:18 This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, 19 having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck, 20 of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme.

Life is a battle...

It’s important we win the battle....

it’s important HOW WE BATTLE

I don’t want to just WAGE WARFARE....

Wage a GOOD WARFARE

motives

right...Honest...trustworthy...fighting fair...

There have been battles I have won...

BUT I HATE HOW I WON

Your Fruit of the Spirit...Is the Testimony of Christ

Battled over music... Battled over Spiritual Gifts...

Christians.. Splitting...fighting...Yelling...

IS IT GOOD WARFARE?

I may have won... wasn’t a good warfare.... IT WAS WARFARE

Have you had those wars....

YOU WAGE WARFARE... NOT GOOD WARFARE

The Biggest battle we face as a Christian is:

A. Battle to change– Are we changing...

If we are is it the right change

We battle to change from the world..

And what we’re used to doing

Living a life that is in Christ...

The freedom to live in freedom

I want to be an example...

A reason someone raises the bar

I want the men I hang out with.. To be better husbands/Dads/ servants/ ME

I don’t mean that arrogantly...

I don’t want to be the reason someone lowers the bar

I love the world... I love sinners.. RANK SINNERS...

I don’t love em enough to live like they live

We battle to change for the world...

So people can see Christ in us

Meeting people where they are... Not so HIGH & MIGHTY... Holier/THOU

B. Battle to conform– Conformed 1 of 2 ways

We battle to be conformed to the world–

Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

It’s a battle that has been fought forever among Christians...

Is this life as a Christian... Worth Giving up the World

2 Timothy 4: Be diligent to come to me quickly; 10 for Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world, and has departed for Thessalonica—Crescens for Galatia, Titus for Dalmatia.

We battle with being conformed to the image of Jesus–

Romans 8:29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Can we see our self as.. IN CHRIST

Can we see how to can rest in what Jesus has done

Can we see it’s not about right/wrong.. good/bad.... IT’S ABOUT JESUS

You wanna know WWJD...

John 14:10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.

He’d do what God told him to do.

It God who does the WORK...

When your outside begins to conform to the inside.. NOW YOU GOTTA BE

Loving, Patient, Kind, Merciful, Joyous, Peaceful,

You will fight battles....

Will you fight them in a good way

A good fight is one you win...

A good win is a fight you fought right
