Summary: GOD Is defined in the beginning of the Torah and Old Testament in Genesis 1:1-2. Not to mention that GOD said “Let US make man in OUR image”. There’s no denying the TRIUNE GOD as demonstrated by the Three as ONE.

2016.06.05.SERMON. LIVING WATER – THE HOLY SPIRIT (POWER)

WILLIAM AKEHURST, HSWC

The TRINITY is not something new. Genesis 1:1-2 tells us GOD created the heavens and the earth and HIS SPIRIT hovered over the face of the waters. But the Hebrew word interpreted as GOD has something very significant in the Hebrew language. And it is not understood in Hebrew nor translated into English without it being revealed to us through Jesus Christ to John in the last book of the bible. Revelation.

In Revelation, Jesus revealed himself as the alpha and omega, the first and the last. In Hebrew, that would be the Aleph and the Tav (Hebrew alephbet). These 2 letters Aleph-Tav pronounced "et" is exactly how Jesus describes himself by those 2 letters.

Interestingly enough, there is no know English translation from Hebrew for this word.

Yet in Hebrew, Genesis 1 says, In the beginning God... The word for GOD is ELOHIM but it is followed with the word ET and not translated into English! ELOHIM ET

Translated: In the beginning (Bareshet) created (bara) GOD/JESUS (Elohim et), the heavens (has-sa-ma-yim) and (wa-et) the earth (ha-a-res).

Jesus really was there in the beginning, as was the Father GOD creator and the HOLY SPIRIT.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

So GOD Is defined in the beginning of the Torah and Old Testament in Genesis 1:1-2.

Not to mention that GOD said “Let US make man in OUR image”.

There’s no denying the TRIUNE GOD as demonstrated by the Three as ONE.

In John 14, Jesus shares the triune God 3 in 1.

3 Essence in 1 Substance

ILLUS: Water H2O. Hydrogen Oxygen Hydrogen, each part makes up one substance, water.

IN SCRIPTURES, LIVING WATER REPRESENTS THE HOLY SPIRIT IN US.

John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

John 14

THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE:

John 14:1-6 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

SON -> FATHER

THE FATHER REVEALED:

John 14:7-11

7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

JESUS’ PROMISE OF THE HELPER/COMFORTER:

SON -> FATHER -> COMFORTER

John 14:15-18

16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

NEVER LEAVE NOR FORSAKE YOU

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

IMPORTANT: JESUS SAID “I WILL COME” (AS COMFORTER/HOLY SPIRIT)

INDWELLING OF THE FATHER AND THE SON:

John 14:19-24

19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

THE GIFT OF HIS PEACE

John 14:25-31

25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
