The Word of the Lord What is Gods word to men? In today’s society, man has exalted himself into the realm of mini-gods, they say to themselves, “We have all the answers, we have the power, come to us and we will prepare you in the way of the righteous. “Our god is our bellies, our righteousness is as the grain of the fields, our holiness, we wrap around us as the fine silk and thread of our garments, we are the way.” Pay tribute to our way of life, so we can build a kingdom upon the earth, that our name be always remembered, give to us and we shall pray for your salvation, bow to us and we shall pray for your deliverance, borrow, for us and we shall cancel your debt by prayer.” Our tabernacles are the finest, our pillars the tallest, who can say, with all we have, that the Lord is not on our side?” David put it this way, Psa 9:20 “Put them in fear, O LORD; that the nations may know themselves to be but men.” I love the book of Psalms; many call it the Book of Recompencitory Prayers, prayers, that ask God to destroy the enemies of the righteous and weak. The Word of the Lord is strong and everlasting; it carries about it a finality that no other word, ever written, could equal. When Gods Word says something, it is true, justice is in it and no one can dispute it. Many today try to change Gods word in to a lie, into something that will benefit them in this life, not regarding the poor or weak, in their quest for wealth and prestige. The beginning paragraphs are thoughts of mine that tell how I see the world of today, it reflects the situation of the church of Laodicea. Rev 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

Rev 3:22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. Where is the Word of the Lord in our churches, is it being held hostage by men of position and misguidance, has it become unpopular because of the growing antichristian movements in this world? Has the church become a pawn in the hands of the antichrist? Why do I say these things? Because Jesus said them. 2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

Mar 8:18 Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?

Psa 18:41 They cried, but there was none to save them:even unto the LORD, but he answered them not. Where is the Word of the Lord, is it not in our hearts, minds and soul? Is it not in our trust, our compliance; is it not in our spirit? We all know the verse that tells us about how powerful Gods word is but have we taken it at hand and heart to fulfill in our lives. He has taken the foolish things of this life to confound the wise and taken the weak to humble the strong. His word has taken a people who were not a people and made them heir to the Kingdom of Heaven.

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

What we say and what we think must be the same with the word of the Lord. Lets say that again and receive understanding. What we Say and what we Think, MUST be the same. If your taking notes, underline two words, Say and Think. Everything about being a Christian, hangs on these two words. Gods’ word tells us this many, many times. Jesus said, Mar 7:6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

Honoureth me with their lips {Say} but their heart is far from me. {Think}

Mat 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

Draweth nigh unto me with their mouth {Say} But their heart is far from me {Think} Jam 1:7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

Jam 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
