** “the revelation of Jesus Christ…” ___the Father gave it to His Son to show the servants things which must shortly come to pass

__these revealing’s will occur within a short period of time and there will be certain events that occur for some of them to take place (the second coming of Jesus) and for some of them there won’t be any events leading to their occurrences (rapture)

__Jesus reveals these visions or revelations to John His disciple

__the book of revelation is written by John the disciple of Jesus after some years after Jesus had descended to Heaven

__at this point in time John is unable to see with His physical eyes which makes this book more accurate

**and these words are prophecy, they are meant to give courage to the believers, to put courage in our hearts (Revelation 1:3)

__the time is at hand for every word recorded in this book to manifest or take place

**Grace is the foundation of prophecy and revelation from the Spirit of God which reveals His word in our hearts.

**Jesus is the firstborn of those who have been risen (Matthew 27:51-53), who are going to be risen and who will be raptured to be like Him and to be with Him

**Jesus has washed away our sins with His own blood (Ephesians 1:7) (1 John 1:7) (Matthew 26:27-28)

__Jesus reconciled everything to Himself by His own blood whether of things on earth or in heaven (Colossians 1:20)

__His blood cleanse our conscience from the acts that leads to death, so that we may serve Him in peace (Hebrews 9:14)

__because of His blood we have confidence to the most Holy place in heaven (Hebrews 10:19)

__we are made Holy as He is Holy because of His Blood (Hebrews 13:12)

__all life is the blood (Leviticus 17:11)

__the blood of Christ is the source of the new covenant (Luke 22:20)

__we are justified by His blood (Romans 5:9)

__when we drink His blood, we remain in Him (Holy Communion) (John 6:55-59)

**Jesus has made us kings and priests unto God and His Father (Revelation 1:6)

__ (1 Peter 2:9)

__Jesus has received all the glory and dominion from His Father (2 peter 1:17) (Isaiah 9:6)

(Daniel 7:14)

“And to Him was given dominion,

Glory and a kingdom,

That all the peoples, nations and men of every language

Might serve Him.

His dominion is an everlasting dominion

Which will not pass away;

And His kingdom is one

Which will not be destroyed”.

**Jesus will come in clouds (Revelation 1:7)

__this is either the rapture the rapture or the second coming

__the rapture-----Jesus comes in clouds but remains in the air, during the rapture we go to Him (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17).

__the second coming—Jesus comes in clouds and He comes to establish His kingdom and to judge the inhabitants of earth, during the second coming we come with Him to reign with Him for a thousand years (1 Corinthians 15:23).

__every eye will see Him and all will believe that Jesus was the Son of God and many will accept Him as their savior and many will wail because of their unbelief

**Jesus is the Alpha (the first letter in the Greek language) and the Omega (the last letter in the Greek language) (Revelation 1:8)

__the beginning of everything, He created everything (Colossians 1:16) and the ending of it all (the second coming and the retribution)

__Jesus “was”, He existed before the world existed, Jesus “is”, Jesus exist today and even now He is in heaven at the right hand of God and exist in our hearts, Jesus “is the one who is to come”, Jesus prophesied His return to His disciples and to all His servants (John 14:1-3)

** John recorded every word which he was told and was instructed to send to the seven churches in Asia, but John was the leader of the church in Ephesus one of the seven churches john was instructed to write letter to (Revelation 1:11)

THE PERSON OF JESUS

** John hears a voice and sees the voice that speaks with Him (Revelation 1:12)

__ the first thing that John saw the 7 golden candlesticks, and in the old testament this was found inside the tabernacle (representing humanity) and representing the seven churches of Asia to which the revelation was sent.

__a candlestick is made of seven branches, three to the left and three to the right and in the middle, we have a main vine (John 15:5)

__we are the branch and Jesus is the vine

__we draw from Him the source of life, even today He is still the source of your life

**Jesus’s hair and head were white like a wool (depicting His purity) and His eyes were like a flame of fire (depicting His X-ray vision) (Revelation 1:14)
