Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.

My eyes will be open and my ears attentive to every prayer made in this place.

For I have chosen this Temple and set it apart to be holy—a place where my name will be honored forever. I will always watch over it, for it is dear to my heart.

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Josiah did what he willed

Deuteronomy 1:43 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

“This is what I told you, but you would not listen. Instead, you again rebelled against the Lord’s command and arrogantly went into the hill country to fight.

Isaiah 28:12 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

God has told his people, “Here is a place of rest; let the weary rest here. This is a place of quiet rest.” But they would not listen.

Isaiah 30:15 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength. But you would have none of it.

Luke 19:14 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

But his people hated him and sent a delegation after him to say, ‘We do not want him to be our king.’

2 Peter 2:10 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

He is especially hard on those who follow their own twisted sexual desire, and who despise authority. These people are proud and arrogant, daring even to scoff at supernatural beings without so much as trembling.

1. Listen to GOD and obey for He is our GOD, Lord, Master, and King of kings, Lord of lords not ourselves. We are the servants of the MOST HIGH GOD, that's our rightful place.

B. He's not content to listen to GOD and would like the bad experiences to happen in his life.

1. People who don't listen to GOD will have stiff-neck. Guard our hearts at all times most especially in times of success and failure for that is when the enemy attacks us the most.

Exodus 32:9 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Then the Lord said, “I have seen how stubborn and rebellious these people are.

2 Chronicles 24:19 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Yet the Lord sent prophets to bring them back to him. The prophets warned them, but still the people would not listen.

Jeremiah 32:33 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

My people have turned their backs on me and have refused to return. Even though I diligently taught them, they would not receive instruction or obey.

Jeremiah 44:16 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

“We will not listen to your messages from the Lord!

Zechariah 7:11 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

“Your ancestors refused to listen to this message. They stubbornly turned away and put their fingers in their ears to keep from hearing.

Acts 7:51 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

“You stubborn people! You are heathen at heart and deaf to the truth. Must you forever resist the Holy Spirit? That’s what your ancestors did, and so do you!

IX. CONCLUSION:

the LORD JESUS CHRIST is Our Lord, and Master, it's fully enough and high time for us to place Him at His Rightful Place.

Luke 6:46 (New King James Version)

"But why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do the things which I say?
