Secret Service Citizens
The APPEAL to do good works
IT APPLIES TO EVERY BELIEVER
-all 4 verses addresses the fact that we are to "do charitable deeds"
IT AFFECTS EVERYONE
-our charitable deeds are to be done to the Christian AND the non-Christian... noone is exempt
The "ARGUMENT" concerning good works
(PAUL and James were not in disagreement)
PAUL (Romans 4:1-12)
-writing from a heavenly perspective
JAMES (James 2:14)
-writing from an earthly perspective
The ANONYMOUS NATURE of good works
THERE IS A REWARD FOR DOING GOOD
-the crowns spoken of in scripture that will be given for our service
-rewards should not be our focus
THERE IS A RIGHT WAY TO DO GOOD
-our service should be so that we are not even aware of what we are doing
