Recharge Your Account Balance Series
Contributed by Christabel N. Onuoha on Mar 14, 2016 (message contributor)
Summary: Prayer is communion with God, without it our spirit's ability to "transact" or communicate in the realm of the spirit is bankrupt. The more effective and fervently we prayer, the more we refuel, rekindle and empower our spirit for effective living.
“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man makes power available.” - James 5:16b
If you have a mobile phone, chances are, you’re familiar with the statement "recharge your account balance".
This is the information we receive when we have run out or are running low on our communication credit.
Your account balance is the reservoir that contains the total amount or quantity of credit required for you to communicate using your device, it is your phone’s power to communicate. Without sufficient credit in your account, you will be unable to communicate and transact with your device.
This is quite significant because, our lives, just like our mobile phone device, requires continuous availability or crediting of requisite resources to keep it powerful and running, to keep it relevant and effective.
Prayer is one of the necessities of our Christian walk, it is to us what a call credit is to our phone. Without prayer, we have no power. Without prayer, we will be ineffective, without prayer we are irrelevant and bankrupt in our ability to bring down all spiritual blessings of God in heavenly places upon our earthly and physical lives.
Prayer is a weapon given to us to move mountains and remove obstacles both in the natural and in the realm of the spirit. Prayer is the power that make things happen and the power that prohibit things from happening.
"And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." – Matthew 16:19
“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man makes power available.” - James 5:16b
In the mobile phone analogy, the more we recharge our account balance, the more credit (power) we have to make calls and do business. Likewise, in our lives, the more we pray, the more power we make available at our disposal to effect change in our lives, on our job, in our family, in our health and in every area that demands divine intervention.
The more we pray the more powerful we become in the realm of the spirit, the more fervent and effective our prayer is, the more effective our lives will be. It is through a consistent, continuous prayer life that we can maintain a powerful victorious Christian life every day!
