Summary: Study through 1 Peter
A Privileged People – 1 Peter 1:10-16
Have you ever thought about some of the ways the saints are referred to in scripture, i.e., beloved, brother, called out ones. All of these titles show that we are privileged people. We need to make much God’s saving grace shown toward us. Paul Harvey was famous for his line, “and now you know that is the rest of the story.” Peter in encouraging the suffering saints wants them to remember how privileged they are to live after the resurrection of Christ and the giving of the Holy Spirit.

F.B. Myer said about holiness, It is the totality of Divine attributes, the sum of the eternal and infinite being of God, the essence of deity, the chord made by the harmonious blending of Divine qualities, the beam woven from the many colors of Divine perfection, the expression of a single term of all that goes to make up the moral nature of the Great Spirit we call God.”
