These last few weeks seems to have been ripe with what seems to be persecutions.

Brother Mike Procter sent many e-mails from brothers and sisters in Christ that have had several different prayer needs from emergency medical, to surgeries and including loss of loved ones.

We have not been spared here as we have had to go through a number of vehicle problems. The brake pads on the Montero went out, the transmission on the rental vehicle was damaged, Dominique lost vision in an eye, and the gas tank of the second rental vehicle was found to be leaking.

You see the battle continues to be waged, but as Christians—You and I can rest assured in the victory that Christ proclaimed and won on the hill called Calvary.

No matter the price of Salmon, no matter the amount of moose or caribou we catch, no matter whatever comes our way—to God be the victory.

We will start our walk through Exodus today, continuing to bring God’s wisdom to ourselves and our posterity.

a. Reasons

Exodus 1:1-10 (KJV)

Now these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with Jacob. [2] Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, [3] Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin, [4] Dan, and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher. [5] And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt already. [6] And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation.

[7] And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them. [8] Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph. [9] And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we: [10] Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land.

We see in verse 1-6 the children of Israel being brought into the land of Egypt.

Are you willing to be brought into the land of Egypt that the Lord God has designed for you?

You see a number of people who proclaim they seek God’s good and perfect will—seek HIS will only when it is able to be messed with their personal desires and directions.

We are called to seek God’s perfect will and go to the ends of the earth to put forth HIS precious word—Are you ready to go for God?

Matthew 6:32-34 (KJV)

(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. [33] But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. [34] Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

When and where God calls us—HE will surely proceed before us—therefore we should not have any fear in our hearts.

Romans 8:31 (KJV)

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.

The children of Israel were fruitful—åøô paru, a general term, signifying that

they were like healthy trees, bringing forth an abundance of fruit.

Just as Jesus is the true vine where you and I are able to grow to fruitfulness and bounty, God placed the young nation in a place to where they could grow to fruitfulness and bounty.

What God has ordained—He will be faithful to bring about. As long as we are about HIS good and perfect will—we will accomplish it, not in our strength but in God’s.

And waxed exceeding mighty—ãàî ãàîá åîöòéå vaiyaatsmu bimod

meod, and they became strong beyond measure—superlatively—so that

the land (Goshen) was filled with them. This astonishing increase was, under the

providence of God, chiefly owing to two causes:

1.The Hebrew women were exceedingly fruitful, suffered very little miscarriages,

and probably often bringing forth twins.

2.There appear to have been no premature deaths among them. Thus in about two

hundred and fifteen years they were multiplied to upwards of 600,000,

independently of old men, women, and children.

You see God’s word is true, “What is impossible for man is possible with God”.

What otherwise would have been an impossibility became a possibility then a reality—because of God’s good and perfect will the tiny nation thrived.
