Summary: How to trust God when you can’t see past the end of our nose? It does not matter if you can’t see it or not, it does not matter if you can’t experience, does not matter if it looks dark and eerie; but mark it, if you trust God in the midst of this mess,

Net was not broken!

John 21:“Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.”

How to trust God when you can’t see past the end of our nose? It does not matter if you can’t see it or not, it does not matter if you can’t experience, does not matter if it looks dark and eerie; but mark it, if you trust God in the midst of this mess, He would bail you out victoriously! While I was working for a multinational bank and simultaneously running the prayer cell in the afternoon, my career plummeted drastically, besides my colleagues, supervisor, even my friends refused to speak with me. I felt like a thrown-away dirt, when I pleaded the Lord to take me away from the situation, He firmly commanded me to stay put. I had no clue what was happening; but finally after five years, many people got saved in the floor where I worked, the fire spread and their families were getting saved and there was revival in the floor where I worked. Finally, I resigned to work full-time for the Lord! Do I have a blue print of my ministry today? No. I go on a minute to minute basis, as I write this portion today, I am going through some challenges not only in my ministry but in my health as well, I trust God to bring me through like before. Let this message comfort you guys! Hallelujah!

Coming back to our subject, the disciples had witnessed firsthand the mind-boggling miracles of supernatural abundance and also the corpse coming alive from the grave; yet, after the crucifixion of Jesus, fear blinded their eyes and they go back to their old profession spearheaded by Peter himself. Though they toiled the entire night, they had no catch of fishes and while they were winding up for the day in the early hours of the day, Jesus shows up! His timing is impeccable! The disciples did not recognize Him and Jesus asked them, “Children, have you any food?" This question has profound meaning, Jesus wanted to point out the hopelessness of acting in the flesh. Some of us like to outwit God! Don’t we? We decide which country to live, whom to marry and what to study, finally when everything fails; we twiddle our thumb. Check out with Him before you launch out. Are you there?

Jesus throws a challenge to the disheartened disciples, let me spell out the words of Jesus, hear it again today, "Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some." There was no ambiguity in the command, He was sure of a catch! Give him the best clap offering! When you obey God and His Words, victory is one hundred percent guaranteed! Are you listening? Your academic accolades, medals and trophies cannot save you. OBEDIENCE IS NOT A CHOICE BUT A MUST. When the disciples obeyed they saw wonders! 153 large fishes! And something more also happened; the net was not broken! Glory to Him! He can hold the catch! When God is in control of the situation nothing would break, are you listening?

Your marriage would not break

Your career, your health, your future, your kids and your family would not break!

He would patch up the pieces and make you whole!

I repeat the miracle, the net did not break, despite the huge catch of fish!

God bless you!
