Isreal's Transgressions And Divine Judgement. Series

ISREAL'S TRANSGRESSIONS AND DIVINE JUDGEMENT.

"And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab.And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods. And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel."

1. Isreal has sinned. They committed four major sins: a. they committed whoredoms; b. honoured invite to sacrifice; c. ate food sacrificed to idols and finally d. bowed down to their idols.

2. In Numbers 22-24, Isreal enjoyed divine protection and security after three different strategic positions adopted by Balak and Balaam. Why? Isreal kept itself pure, honoured divine rules & then secured divine guidance.

3. In Chapter 25, Isreal, who couldn't be cursed fell to immorality. The fence of projection & divine guidance was broken. Enemy penetrated.

4. How tempting to assume our last year or yesterday's RIGHTOUENESS'll secure us against the attacks of the Devil? (1 Peter 5:8). Sin leaves us vulnerable to satanic attacks.

5. God has no respect of persons; anyone who does RIGHTOUENESS, secures his love. Any act of disobidience"ll be greeted with His wrath.

6. Shittim was the last place Isreal camped before crossing to Jordan. Where're you dwelling, staying, working, living, sitting, visiting, relaxing, that gives enemy vantage position to lure you?

7. Isreal, the called out, the beloved, the chosen generation, toiled with sin, allowed sin. Psalm 1:1 also stated that, "we would be blessed if we don't stand, walk nor sit with the scornful." Exodus warns us "...not to join the multitude to do evil." How come Isreal soon forgot these warnings? It was repeated in Deutaronomy.

8. Isreal forgot what Ezekiel 33 said, that "if a righteous man turns into sin, his RIGHTOUENESS of the past shall not atone."

9. Isreal joined Moab to sin. Oh how many saints today've lost the spiritual fervour. They've been lost to the world of corruptions, sins. They've joined baalpeor. They speak their languages, wear their clothes, dance their songs, practice what they do, dress like them, behave like them. There is no difference between them & the sinners. They've joined Baalpeor, committed whoredoms with the Moab, eaten their food, bowed to there idols. The idol of pornography, immoral affairs, idolatry, secret sins, anger, hatred, bitterness, unforgiveness, lies, unfaithfulness in marriage, compromise at work, insincerity, betrayal, greed, dishonest, resentment, drinking, unfaithfulness in money, compromise in corporate practices, entanglement with the society & corrupt activities, sinful inventions.

10. Isreal lost 24,000 people. The wages of sin is death. Sin brings earthly & eternal death.

11. Only repentance can cure inevitable judgement. Sacrifice can't atone for sin, it must be confessed, repented & forsaken. The tithes & the big offerings, fasting & prayer, church and religious activities, can't UNTIL CONFESSED.

12. Backsliders must return to the Lord in full confessions, repentance and restoration to avoid fatal judgement. Sinners must repent of their sins and accept Christ's offering to avoid eternal damnation. Believers and saints must be sober, and avoid sinful practices that can severe their relationship with God.
