DIGGING WELLS John 4:13-14/Genesis 26

5 Steps every Church must take to experience a Powerful Move of God

Pastor your Place of Service is a Divine opportunity expecting a Divine Appointment

Our Focus has to Start with the Gospel, Stay with the Gospel and Send with the Gospel!!

What ever you do, Whatever direction it has to be Gospel Driven if it is to God Centered

Look at our text today:

Lets look at Where, What, When, How and Why we Dig.

1. You will Dwell where God tells you to Dwell. You need to know where to Dig

First we see God’s Presence in V2 “Lord Appeared to Him” (Told him where not to go)

V3 “I will be with You” The Promises of God are received by Obedience

Gods Blessing “I will Bless you” God wants to Bless your Church, Families, Community

“Abraham your Father” Abraham was passing a Legacy to His Son Isaac

Today, we have a Promise to Claim today, God has a Legacy for us to Remember

Matthew 16:18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

2. You will Do what God tells you to Do. You need to Know what you are here for

v4 “and in your Seed” We have a Responsibility to Serve the Lord

Be careful not to reap what you sow: Isaac Repeated the Same Sin

v7 The Enemy knows how to use the Sins of a Father against Him

The Enemy comes to Kill Steal and Destroy John 10:10

v9 Sometimes God has to protect us from ourselves

V12 The Empowerment: “Isaac sowed in the Land” (Never let a Struggle stop you)

V11 God will bless you and use His Power to Protect you and your Church/Family

V13 “began to prosper” Who Gives the Increase? 1 Corinthians 3:6

Become the Church that God can Send and He will Send to you

3. You will Go where God tells you to Go. You need to know when you are Digging

V14 The Problem: Envy Arose: We should celebrate God’s Blessing not be Jealous

V15 The Persistence: They ran Him off, Stopped up the Well His FATHER DUG

V18—He Dug, V19—He Dug, V21—He Dug, V22 He Dug (Keep Digging)

V23 The Promise: Keep Digging and God will show up V24-25

Friend you are Digging when God Begins to Multiply v24, God’s will to Grow

Revitalization in your Church looks like LIFE,

4. You will Forgive who God tells you to Forgive. You need to know How to Dig

V28 When Sin stops you from Digging, Then you will never find Water

Abimelech observed how God motivated Isaac and Blessed Him

V29 People who Obey God are too busy to cause Division/Gospel Protects

V31 What is the Power of Forgiveness (What you came here for today) peace

5. You will Receive what God has Promised for you to Receive. You need to Know Why you are Digging

God called us to dig wells, not Graves (is your Loyalty to People or the Gospel) YES (Thirsty People Follow people who dig wells) Children, Grand Children

V33 “We have found Water” (an Empty well is a Sign of we Stop Digging)

The Goal of Every Believer, Church, Pastor, Deacon, Teacher and Member

Turn to John 4:4 / God has A Plan 4:6 God has a Plan (Who was Jacob?)

What was the name of the Well? Jacobs Well, So when was this Divine Appointment in motion?

When did the Woman Receive Living Water? When she truly Repented V26

What did Jesus go Through Samaria? V35

What was the Result? V39-42 The Fruit of Digging never Stops

The Joy of Digging should never stop…..

To Never stop looking for a Place to DIG, Is to always be Looking for the Next Divine Appt
