When Jesus was arrested, the multitude led him away to Annas first; for he was father-in-law to Caiaphas, who was the high priest that year. Annas sent Jesus bound to Caiaphas the high priest.

Jesus was arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane and taken to Annas and then to the palace of Caiaphas, the high priest. Then he was taken to Pilate.
