In Superman, when Clark Kent removes his glasses we get to see him as he really is, without the disguise. In looking at the chosen text for this message John see's Jesus with the vail of humanity removed, it is unlike anything he has seen before.

Hollywood makes sequals and the same thing is always said, "It just wasn't as good as the first one, the original." Jesus says the same thing about the Church at Ephesus, "where you are now isn't as good as where you started out."
