1. Who Is The Holy Spirit?
Contributed on Sep 14, 2013
There are many different views in the religious world about who/what the Holy Spirit is. Some believe the Holy Spirit is an impersonal force while others believe He is a personal being and God. What do the scriptures say?
These lessons on the Holy Spirit of God are meant to just “whet your appetite.” I am attempting to condense a good bit of what we see mentioned about the Holy Spirit into 4 lessons. This series could very easily be expanded into 15-20 lessons, if not more. I pray that these lessons will ...read more

2. God-Breathed
Contributed on Oct 9, 2013
What do the scriptures teach about how the Holy Spirit inspires (or breathes) the word of God? This sermon shows what scripture says and debunks 2 other views.
SCRIPTURE IS GIVEN BY GOD, THE HOLY SPIRIT In our prior lesson on in talking about the deity of the Holy Spirit, I used the following argument to show that the Holy Spirit is God: Who gave us the Bible? God (1 Tim 3:15-17), or the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:20-21) We see in this argument not just ...read more

3. The Spirit's Role In Conversion
Contributed on Dec 2, 2013
The Holy Spirit has a vital role in our conversion. This lesson shows how the Spirit uses His sword to convict us and to bring us to repentance.
We don’t think about the Holy Spirit’s role in our salvation enough. Whenever we think of the work of God saving us, we tend to think about Jesus' work on the cross, which is understandable. So much of the New Testament focuses on Jesus Christ and His atoning sacrifice for our sins. But ...read more

Contributed on Jan 10, 2014
The previous lesson in this series showed from scripture how the Spirit indwells us. This lesson explains the blessings that the Christian gains because of the Spirit's indwelling.
We continue our series on the Holy Spirit with “part 2” of our sermon on being temples of the Holy Spirit. In our last lesson, after establishing the fact that everyone as far as I know agrees on (that the Holy Spirit does dwell in us), we examined some of the common views on the ...read more

6. Being Led By The Spirit
Contributed on May 16, 2014
This lesson explores what scripture teaches us regarding being led by the Holy Spirit and compares what the Bible says to some common beliefs as to how the Spirit leads God's people.
Not many people will disagree with the statement that the Spirit of God leads Christians today, but when you ask how He leads us, the debate begins. Pretty much every religious group that calls itself "Christian" believes they are being led by the Spirit to believe and practice the things they do ...read more

8. Blasphemy Of The Holy Spirit
Contributed on Sep 15, 2014
What exactly is this sin? Can this sin be committed today? Is there really no hope of forgiveness for the one who commits this sin? Why can blaspheming Jesus be forgiven but not blaspheming the Spirit?
INTRO This topic is indeed an interesting one that leaves us with many questions. • What exactly is this sin? • Can this sin be committed today? • Is there really no hope of forgiveness for the one who commits this sin? • Why can blaspheming Jesus be forgiven but not ...read more
