How sad to live life without taking advantage of all the help and resources available to us. The Holy Spirit is given to us to be our helper. In this sermon, we begin to understand who the Spirit is and how He helps us.

2. The Spirit Is Our Teacher

The Holy Spirit first came into the apostles to help them remember and write about the teachings and life of Jesus and the instructions for the church. The Holy Spirit now lives in the child of God in order to help them learn, understand and obey God's Word.

Jesus said that the Spirit is like wind - it is invisible and unpredictable. Wind has the power to transform, energize, and destroy, and so does the Spirit. The Spirit provides the power we need to be who we are called to be and do what we are called to do.

One of the greatest benefits of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in Christians is the way the Spirit is our intercessor who prays on our behalf when we don't know how to pray or what to pray for.

One of the important roles of the Holy Spirit is the way that the Spirit is a seal that authenticates and guarantees our relationship with God and our salvation in Christ. God wants us to experience security and confidence in our salvation and our relationship with Him.
