Jeremiah 29:11 is not about our own personal fulfillment, it’s about our spiritual fulfillment. If we take scripture out of context, we run the risk of making scripture fit our life, instead of making our life fit scripture.

Philippians 4:13 does not say that we can literally do anything. What it does say, though, is that a super-powered God will willingly and repeatedly share His strength with us when things get difficult.

Luke 11:9 doesn't say, “Ask for anything you want.” It’s more like, “Ask for my kingdom, and you will have it.”
